The figures said affiliated clubs but was still struggling to get the figure against ourselves - 108. When you look at our County website we have 43 clubs. Some of these are football only, some hurling only and some dual. Suppose it probably counts 'clubs' which have been set up for teams who play as an amalgamation at underage, dual clubs who maybe have both codes regsitered as separate clubs, clubs with ladies teams etc though I wouldn't have thought this would account for 60 odd other clubs beyond those 43 which we know.

I am only giving figures from something that appeared in Congress papers last year so I am sure they did their research but the url is below. Some of those figures for clubs are wrong / misleading, as in some cases treat dual clubs as two clubs, as in Cork I believe. There aren't 101 clubs in Limerick, 65 is closer to the mark.
