Unlike Kerry we dont win games based on Referee's favouritism

Ha ha I think that pairing would turn the milk sour at RTE ☺. It would be hilarious, and actually do not rule out that Ulster pairing. I still think Donegal will get to the final.

Speaking of the Sunday Game what the hell was McStay talking about when he said the draw for the rest of the year for Mayo has been kind to them, huh? They have Donegal in the quarters the worst draw possible and then Dublin or Cork in the semi's again a very hard game for me Mayo have on paper the worst draw possible , now that's not to say Mayo won't win all these games I'm just wondering how that is a kind draw?

Couldnt disagree more.
As I said about the Munster Final the winner would have the nicer route but loser which happened to be Cork would still have a big say in the All ireland.
Same for Donegal they lost yesterday but they still have as much a chance of winning the AI as anyone.
Dublin and Mayo will not be taking Cork or Donegal for granted.

When the dust settles and the furore over the Ulster Final is over, Donegal will be back in business no doubt about that

McStay was on about Mayo avoiding Kerry, their big bogey team.

See Donegal are out to 11/1 now with Monaghan at 12's. Would have thought Monaghan would be shorter than that.

Still delighted with yesterday victory over Donegal and already looking forward to going into Croker as Ulster champions. I feel that we have a real opportunity to push on into a semi final this year and I think that our boys would relish the prospect of going up against Kerry in a semi final. In relation to a previous poster flaming that we will dine out on this victory, I do not agree. Of course we will celebrate and why wouldn't we, but it will not be the same as 2013. This group are determined to go further and have a real say in this years championship, and I look forward to hopefully another few days out in Dublin!

I think Kerry are in a good place at the minute. Two tough games against Cork has given the team a good sense of where they are at and you would think we have too much quality for either Westmeath or Fermanagh in the Q-final.

Monaghan are a serious outfit no doubt about that but there are still question marks over their ability to put in a performance which matches their potential in Croke Park. Can they finally go better than a Q-final this year?

Donegal looked pretty bad yesterday, they didn't score from play for almost an hour and managed only 10 points in perfect conditions. That's not the form of serious All Ireland contenders.

Mayo just havn't played enough games to know where they are at, yesterday was useless for them and we won't know how good they are until we see them in a Q-final.

For Dublin its the same old story, looking unstoppable against team which accept they are beaten before the ball is even thrown in. But when they come up against a serious team how good will they actually be?

If (and its a big IF) Cork can regroup, account for Kildare and get themselves in the right frame of mind, than I can see them causing Dublin a hell of a lot of problems.

I think Kerry have a great chance now of reaching another final and after that anything is possible.

Credit to the boys again for putting in a big display and winning their third Munster in a row on Saturday in ridiculous conditions.

An Riocht Abu!

The Hermit, obviously ye fancy yourselves of getting to the final as it seems you are on the easier side of the draw but sometimes things don't pan out like you might anticipate. In relation to your synopsis of the various teams, please explain how on one hand you say dublin look good against teams that are beaten before all ball is thrown in and then go on to say that cork could rattle them up which initself might be good for the Dubs provided they get through it. In relation to Dublin they have won 2 all-irelands, 5 leinsters and 3 national leagues since 2011 so unless I don't know anything about our beloved game they have beaten kerry, cork, mayo, monaghan, tyrone, donegal on their way to their all-irelands and have lost twice in 4 years to donegal and mayo. Did kerry actually prove anything that we didn't know on saturday night, they beat a cork team that actually seems to flatter to deceive but yet should have beaten ye the first day only for an awful penalty award by the referee.

I think Cork will give the Dubs a good run for their money but the Dubs will be too strong. Its hard to see past Dublin winning it this year. The only 2 teams who have any chance of stopping them are either Kerry or Mayo.

Admiski, Kerry showed on Saturday that they are still a force to be reckoned with and that they will be there or there abouts come September. That's all any of us down here could have hoped for. Yes anything can happen, we could be caught cold in a Q-final like 2010, we might go down to a fired up Monaghan in a semi final, who knows? But at the minute we are where we want to be and have the road laid out before us.

As for Dublin, they havn't been tested one bit this summer. We both know that. Like last year, they have done nothing more so far than slaughter teams who accept before the game that the natural order of things in Leinster is to be slaughtered by Dublin.

With Dublin its like internet dating: sure the picture looks nice and they've said all the right things one their profile, but its only when you meet them face to face you realise they're missing two front teeth...

Sept 2013 is a long time ago now and they have shown nothing since then to say they should be designated the All Ireland champions in waiting. If and when they met and beat another Division 1 team by a commanding score in the championship, then I will start to see them as serious challengers until then no one can really say at what level they are at.

Hermit, sure Dublin like kerry are where they want to be. No need for sarcasm in your last posting. We are fully aware of what happened last year but don't you forget that ye were blessed to win last year's all-ireland. Absolutely shocking referring displayed in the semi-final replay and then an early goal followed by a goalkeeoping error in the final and still ye fell across the line. we all know ye are the traditional kingpins and with help from officials as norm ye probably will win the 2015 all-ireland.

I think that of the teams left, Kerry must fancy their chances of the final. Playing fermanagh or westmeath will not test them at all. The semis will see them play either tyrone or monaghan. Monaghan do not have it to beat kerry, unless they play out of their skins. Tyrone too, are not the team they used to be, and I cant see them stepping up this year either.

The other side of the draw is a nightmare, and mayo and dublin will most likely play off in the semis.I cant call the winner of that fixture.

Kerry v Dublin/Mayo.

you would have to fancy Kerry to steam on now and prepare for the finals.

Yerra that's it Adminski. The only way Kerry ever won was because the referees were in our back pockets.

In fact the only time they weren't was the final in 2011, remember that? ;)

I've actually had some laugh at this Thread.

Dublin and Mayo have just walked through their provinces without making it out second gear. Monaghan had had to play Cavan, Fermanagh and Donegal and Kerry having play Cork twice to win Munster.

To break down the last 12 teams by province
Ulster - Tyrone, Monaghan, Donegal, Fermanagh (4)
Connaght - Mayo, Sligo, Galway (3)
Leinster - Dub, Kildare, W'Meath (3)
Munster - Cork, Kerry (2)

With the upcoming fixtures of
Tyrone v Sligo - Tyrone
Galway v Donegal - Donegal
Kildare v Cork - Cork
Fermanagh v W'Meath - Fermanagh

I can near see all 4 of ulster teams making it through to the 1/4 finals. Maybe with the exception of Fermanagh or Donegal depending how the bounce back from yesterdays performance. To kick 11 wides in one half and to think the experience that the team have under their belt. Donegal took off Toye, McFadden and Lacey cause they had little impact in the game and they were lucky not to lose Murphy with the black card.

Kerry - strong team and did have a good win over cork but think they may struggle if they were to avoid Fer/W'Mth in the 1/4's.
Mayo - Would beat Tyrone, don't think they would beat Kerry, Dublin and maybe Cork
Monaghan - Tough to call they have had a few competitive games, good league campaign but don't have the firing power of the other Prov Winners after McManus
Dublin - As I said they'll take Mayo. Will look to avoid Tyrone or Cork in the 1/4's. Think the only team to stop them is Kerry.

The all ireland final will be the SF between Mayo and Dublin. Kerry and Donegal are past it and the rest are B and C rate.
Kerry were lucky to get an AI last year so it won't happen this year for them. Too many over 30's.

Can't understand how everyone seems to think Kerry have referees in their pockets. Yes the penalty in the draw against Cork was softish but generally over a season there are swings and roundabouts for all teams when it comes to refereeing decisions. All the players can do is 'play the whistle' and get on with it. So give over yer auld griping that referees favour Kerry. This sort of codswallop smacks of general sour grapes.
