We had an awful lot cause it was something we were very good at back in the day but Kevin foleys against Dublin stands out for me

There are more in Gaelic Football I'd say but hard to bat Seamus D'Arby.

In fact if I was to pick the most iconic moment of GAA history I'd probably pick that. The awesome Kerry defeated by a goal to stop their 5 in a row.

1983 Munster Football Final - Tadhg Murphy Cork 3-10 Kerry 3-9

Was Johnny Flaherty's goal in the 1981 hurling final a last minute goal & a winning goal? I know the score ended 2-11 to 0-15 so a point would have drawn it.

Barney Rock's goal in the 83 semi v Cork was a special one too.

Damien Fitzhenry(yes the keeper, 2 goals in that game) vs Limerick 2001
Rory McCarthy vs Cork 2003
Michael Jacob vs Kilkenny 04

D'oh I forgot ;Even though it kills me to say this Kevin Foleys goal in the fourth game in 1991 has to be up there with the above! And to rub salt into the wounds the b@$+@*? didn't even celebrate after scoring it !

Foley's goal wasn't the last score of the game though so can it be counted?

Class moment, great play but Dave Beggy got the winning point after the kick out.

Super Stefan White's last min goal for Louth against Kildare in Drogheda in the Leinster championship quarter-final in 1991. It was Micko's first championship match for the Lilly whites.

Last Sunday's goal by Heaslin was a beauty to finish us off. Remember Ollie Murphy getting one to draw with WM in a QF, Geraghty getting one to beat Louth in a qualifier in Navan. O'Gara I think for Dublin against Kerry with a rocket to finish the game. All time fav has to be Seamus Darby against Kerry, smallest man on the pitch, cutest little push in the back and wham!

"nd - ball down the medal, Clement Smith left 1:1 with a Wexford forward. Dragged him down. I just thought 'Oh Jaysus' as I sat in the Canal end in Croker. Fitzhenry fairly found the postage stamp all right. We had a chance to equalise but Wexford's defence held out.

Fitzhenry did similar to Tipp in 2007 but Wexford tacked on a late point after his goal.

What about Armagh Fermanagh Ulster Championship, 93 I think? Not one but two late goals. I can still see the stunned faces of the Fermanagh supporters as they made their way back home through South Tyrone hours later still wondering what had went wrong.

Fermanagh were about nine points up with ten minutes to go and still seven points up entering injury time. One of the most amazing comebacks I;ve seen. think Armagh played 5 or 6 games in Ulster that year without making the final.

- Val Daly scored very late vs Donegal in 1983 AI semi final. Galway won by a point and then famously lost to the 12 apostles in the final.
- Rory McCarthy v Cork and Michael Jacob v Kilkenny for Wexford

He dragged down rory McCarthy who also got a smashing goal that day. Fitzhenry spoke about it in laochra gael. He let in an absolute howler dropping a 65 into the net and he was delighted to get the 21 after to cancel it out. That was a bloody brilliant game.

Brilliant game Doyler but I walked out of there and met a mate of mine from Murroe (well a lad I know who doesn't buy pints) and we both looked shell shocked. We got a horrible start to the game, Paul Codd/Fitzhenry sent two close range frees to the net and after having most pof the ball in the first half we were 3-6 to 2-5 down at half time.

We scraped, we battled and got to 2-15 to 3-10 up. TJ Ryan was full back and at 5-11 was marking Nicky Lambert who was a huge man. Then Wexford changed it up, got that penalty or 21 whatever it was and bang, out of the championship. Limerick won 2 & lost 2 that year and we ended up a point up on aggregate over the 4 games with the biggest winning margin a goal.

Kind of last-minute non-goals but Charlie Redmond and Paul Bealin had last kick penalty misses against Meath that felt like great late winners.
