Should have added that you should check that website regularly between now and then as there will be additions to it after the Parades Commision meetings - next one is held today. Don't forget to pack a comfortable pair of shoes.

As offside rule said the 12th parades are being held on the 13th this year, so matches on the 11th should be fine. The 11th night bonfires will still be lit but these are mainly in (loyalist)housing estates and wouldn't usually have any effect on main route traffic

Htaem no parades on the sunday. The lords day. Took long enough for rugby to be played on sundays up here and shops to be open. Always the Sat before the 12th

Oh ye I forgot about that, us godless heathens aren't so great at remembering the lords day, maybe they can move the game to sunday although considering the trip involved I'd rather have the game on saturday.

How the hell do people know God rested on a sunday anyway, who knows maybe there was a clerical error and he actually rested on a different day....see what I did there :-)

Love a good afternoon pun. Sure its nothing but a bunch of 'mass' protesters. We should just play our spot wherever and mind out own bussiness and let them folk do the same

Htaem God actually played gaa on a Sunday and I heard he wore a royal jersey. We're actually the most religious of them all. He was sore after 6 days of building the world so he couldn't bear going to mass and sitting on them back breaking benches.

DoireCityFC, Omagh is actually a town with a very strong catholic majority, well over 70% but since it is the county town of Tyrone they will always have to have a march of some sort in it(unfortunately) but since the 12th is on a Sunday and with the main celebrations being on the Monday because of that then there should be no problems with the game being on the Saturday or Sunday but I suppose we are in the north and that's the way things are, if there is a parade on the Saturday it should not be off a great scale an will most likely be over before the match commences and if there is a parade late on the Sunday as a poster said above there should be no problem with it on the Sunday but I suppose things don't always work out as smoothly as that. So with all that being said an done there should be
no problem with the game being on the Saturday in Omagh with bonfires etc. not being until later that night but I suppose the GAA will have to make a mountain out of a moehill as usual!

Its has just been brought to my attention that the 'Music by the Lake' festival starts tomorrow in Fermanagh - why have the GAA not looked at this with regards to Antrim fans having to travel to Enniskillen on Sunday for the Qualifier match and looked for an alternative venue? I for one won't feel comfortable knowing their is potentially Classical music being played in the vacinity and I know a few Antrim Gaels who share that fear. This has been further compounded by the news just in that there is something called 'The Bash at the Bridge' on tomorrow and Sunday. Now, without wanting to second guess who or what is getting bashed at the bridge I just think these two events sound too risky to have non-Fermanagh people entering the County this weekend and urge HQ to review their decision to give Fermanagh a home tie, especially when we were the first team out in the draw.

Apart from the inconvenience of being stuck behind a parade, which always have diversions posted nowadayas, I wouldn't worry too much about going North on the 12th weekend.

As has been pointed out the parades themselves take place on Monday & a lot of the steam has gone out of the 11th night.

Granted there are hotspots but they are mostly in hardline loyalist areas around Belfast & things only get iffy after dark when the bonfires are lit.

A bit of common sense & forward planning on the part of travellers will result in a trouble free journey.

You sure the 'Bash on the bridge' is not being staged on the Ormeau bridge?

Yeah true enough - must be a spin off event in Fermanagh this year.

Offside, just to let you and all your fellow Antrim Gaels know, there has been major tailbacks coming into Enniskillen from all directions due to closure/part closure of a bridge in the town. I was at a wedding in the town last weekend coming into the town from Omagh and was stuck in traffic for well over an hour. Might be an idea to check out with Fermanagh GAA, Road Traffic or other posters on the Fermanagh Hoganstand Forum

Enniskillen is a nightmare at the minute, but i dont think it will affect the Antrim traffic coming down too much. It more affects the Sligo and Donegal side of the town.

However, Antrim Gaels try and get down early as the town will probably be very busy and Brewster Park isnt situated in the handiest of spots.

Your right there Brend!!!! A load of out of towners from Larne etc arrive every year to put flags up on
the upper Ormeau which is predominantly nationalist nowadays.Police said they would
be treating any further erection of flags as a breach of the peace last year but have now made
a u turn and are doing nothing to remove them.

Cheers for the heads up lads. I would on occassion be travelling through Enniskillen when going down Whest to the inlaws and know its not the quickest place to get through at the best of times so appreciate the traffic info.
