Uibhialli........And who is to blame for what you have observed? Is it the journalist fault and why would they have an agenda against gaelic? Everyones blaming the journalists, the pudits, the tweaters. Surely they cant all be wrong? Is encouraging hurling negativity going to solve the negativity in football? No!

I'm not looking for more negativity in hurling coverage I just stated that the football coverage has a ridiculous degree of negativity in comparison and that hurling journalists writing about hurling seem to turn a blind eye to any bad things about the game whereas journalists writing/talking about football seem to search for some sort of negative angle.I'd prefer if football pundits actually tried to be more positive but it seems they prefer to take the negative view of everything. If the football media took on Sky Sports approach to the game of more reasonable analysis I'd be much happier.

Did you listen to the first 10 minutes of the Sunday game programme today. It was another extended whinge about the over defensiveness of football from Joe Brolly.Completely unnecessary negativity from him and then what happens in the first game is a match where there was almost no defensive football.

@crikey - no i dont think the wind mattered too much tbh!! laois set up negatively with 2 men back. the last 2 years the galway full back line stayed back whereas last sat the full back line went forward and scored 1.3 between them. you cant expect to win a match playing with 2 men in defense hoping to keep it tight...at some stage you got to let go of the shackles and have a go!! the game was over as a contest at half time.same as the dub replay too. you got to give galway credit for going for it and killing the opposition when the opportunity arises.
