If Kildare beat Cork/Kerry, can they get Dublin in the quarters?

Fantastic opportunity for Fermanagh to make an All Ireland quarter final. Unfortunately it will be the end of the road for my county but hopefully we can put in a decent performance unlike the Dublin game and it will be something to build on for those young players. Tyrone's experience should see them over the line but I hope Tipp can also put in a performance to build on. Galway Derry is a toss up

Can anybody explain why we are away, surely a team that gets to a provincial final should be at least allocated a home draw,No game is easy but think we have a good chance of beating Fermanagh

Tipp away was the draw I didn't want, I would have been more confident taking on Galway or Derry, this is the proverbial banana skin and I've got a bad feeing about this.

100% agree. I thought about the 6 possibilities last night (3 teams, home/away) and Tipp away was the only one that I didn't want. They a talented young side playing with confidence, and we are playing with very little. Genuine upset potential here.

It'll be a neutral venue footie as its the final round in your section whilst the other section is a game behind, possibly Breffni Park or Pairc Tailteann maybe??

We'll welcome Tyrone with open arms to Thurles and I'm sure that U.21 will be forgotten about once the ball throws in.
I actually think its the perfect draw for Tipp and something new for us to experience.
A big northern team in the qualifiers is something we always avoided I think Donegal in Croke Park one year is as close as got.

With so many of the U.21s still learning their trade this will be a tough game for them but I can see Tyrone winning by about 5 or 6.

Tipp have been lucky this year every football game has been in Thurles and our luck may just run out. I hope not but Micky Harte will have his players well prepared and hopefully I will get to meet the great man himself afterwards. What a manager.

Round 4A is neutral venues,so no home advantage. Id say Fermanagh Westmeath be either in Navan or Cavan

I agree with you both, Tyrone's extra awareness, cuteness and execution was good enough to beat Meath but arguably Tipp are in much better shape than ourselves at present and will be delighted with a home draw against Tyrone, it will be a difficult challenge for Tipp to come up against such a strong defensive system but they have players who can score and poke holes in the blanket, irregardless of how bad Louth may be 3-21 is a ferocious score in any match and shows the potential in that Tipp forward 6, a very interesting game awaits which Im sure wil bring a big crowd to Semple.

I think its a good draw for Tyrone. The open draw has seen Tyrone play different teams all over the country which helps develop the team and the draw I wanted to avoid was a sufficating ulster draw against Derry. While I do not think we are anywhere near the standard of Tyrone teams in the past they will present plenty of problems for this up and coming Tipp team.

Delighted that nobody is talking about us. Draw is a toss up as Derry are no slouches and some really good players but we are young and on the up.

Fermanagh have a great chance, they have been the story of the summer so far but do people really think that Derry are going to beat Galway?

As a Galway man i am happy its a home draw as at least we will get some support behind us, fair play to a good gathering of people who travelled to Armagh yesterday. The game itself is a tough draw as Derry phsically are a big team and are very cute in defensive mode , two things Galway have struggled against lately. Our forwards struggled in the second half yesterday and also the six day turn around is tough on both teams!
At this stage if you want to be seeen as a seriious team we need to be beating anyone on our side of the draw but i would not be hugely confident.

Provincial losers play in a neutral ground for the simple reason that some of the back door teams have had 3 tough games before this and most likely played at least one away from home. There should be no mercy for a runner up in a province. We could be in this situation after the ulster final next sunday, but in fairness, I will accept who we get and where we get them should this happen.
