Sadly no RD, if a limited Derry had any belief they would have kicked on and won last night, Dublin will not be caught cold the second year on the trot, no siree.

brend, you may well be right about Dublin being better this year but I wouldn't write Donegal off because of yesterday, the Q/F last year against Armagh was a similarly ordinary performance & yet they upped it tenfold for the semi final.

All we have listened to these last two weeks has been about how brilliant Donegal are now suddenly, after yesterday, we are not in contention. The truth is none of us has a clue what's going to happen but I wouldn't write Donegal or any of the top teams off on the basis of one performance.

playing dublin in leinster is pathetic at this stage. The meath v westmeath semi final is a small glimpse into what would be an epic free flowing championship if dublin played elsewhere or just got a bye to the all ireland quarters. They are doing untold damage to football in 9 counties. no kids will want to play for their team if the best they can dream of is a drubbing by the dubs.

So Jack_Goff

You'd be happy winning a Dublinless Leinster???
How the mighty have fallen, good grief!

enjoyable day at croke park today
when we were good we were very good
and took some super scores
kilkenny, brogan and connolly were outstanding
defence done really well also keeping it tight and no goals conceeded.
one big area for concern was midfield today
we got destroyed in the middle of the park on kickouts
on kilfares kickout paul flynn in particular left his man free the entire time
and kildare keeper found him nearly every single kick
on our own kickout we had very few moving and forced cluxton to go 50-50
and mccauley may aswell have been at home for all he done at trying to win them
fenton won one or two but was not at the races either.
bastick was a loss today in that area
we have enough leaders to win games like today when we arent winning midfield
but later in the championship a midfield performance like today would not be good enough.
we also went asleep for 15 minutes in the second half and only had two dean rock pointed frees
after scoring 3-10 in the first half it was a slow return to the second half.
thankfully finally got into gear again when alan brogan came in and added a much needed boost
he kicked three good pints and had a hand in the penalty goal.
our work rate in the back line was really good especially the half back line today.
great crowd of over 50 thousand there
and was terrific to be part of the 16 minute round of appalause for the two lads who im sure were there in spirit
it went around the whole ground brilliantly along with the banner going across the hill
well done to all involved

at this stage its not Dublin we should be worried about, but the rest of Leinster.

I've said it before and i'll say it again its time for change. We all know the Dubs won't be tested till the All Ireland semi.

We'll be tested in the QF, probably Cork, if not, Kerry. Johnny Cooper is turning into some player, not even listed in the odds on PP for POTY, being a corner back won't help but he's as good a player as I've seen so far this year, league included!

Well done to Dublin, their movement and pace was exceptional, very disappointed with our 1st half display particularly, kicked some good scores in 2nd half but never in the game at any stage. Well done to the Kildare minors on a great win, some hope for the future in we that are starting to consistently turn out decent minor teams, 3 leinster finals in a row

Extraordinary statement to make, especially from a Meath supporter. I understand you are hurting right now but now is not the time to be talking about root and branch changes that can only undermine your own provincial championship. Dublin are riding high on the crest of a wave right now, provincially anyhow, they will not be there for ever and a day that's for sure.

If I was a Meath man, Dublin would be the least of my worries after today's effort. I'd be more worried about the other 9 counties competing in football. It seems to me that the powers that be in charge of Meath football have done untold damage to what was once a fine and proud footballing county. Substitute Mayo, Donegal, Kerry in for Dublin and you would still be seeing cricket scores. The standard is simply not good enough in Leinster. Look at the league tables. Are Dublin to blame for these standings?

Such a silly statement to make, stop blaming the Dubs and start taking a look in the mirror, and I mean that, we have to change the way Meath football is run from the ground up. We have no excuse.

nothing to do with dublin..teams in leinster seem so against setting up difficult to beat like derry did..the state of kildare and meath football over the last decade is much of the reason for how poor leinster is

I think teams like Meath and Kildare need to start laying foundations for underage development and getting a good system in place so they can compete with Dublin in the future. Stop complaining about Dublin and get their own house in order.

Jack Goff

We get your message at this stage

Any chance you could shut up now please

We understand your view point... It's ridiculous of course and painfully embarrassing

But we get it...

Now how about contributing something new.... ?

Very impressive from Dublin yesterday.

Tighter at the back but still as potent up front, a heady mixture indeed.

There will be sterner tests but at this stage they look very good.

We're going to end up hammering 3 Div 3 teams to win a Leinster, not ideal for a Quarter Final v either Cork/Kerry.

I dont think we will hammer Westmeath.

I think we will beat them Mr.Blatter, but destroy them? We will see though.

You are right in one reguard though, Its a certainty that we will meet the losers or Cork or Kerry in the QF providing we beat westmeath
