The important thing is game was over at 20 minutes in, whatever happened from that point on is very hard to judge. So either Galway's game plan worked or Dublin just where hit with a disaster - which was waiting to happen. It was the Cork league game all over again, paining dearly for a very very poor opening 20 minutes. We are relying on more than a few old legs in there, maybe Keaney and Rush should have been switched, the younger guys brought on earlier. But fullback line was destroyed with some basic errors, lets face the third goal was a bad joke. And hitting high balls in into a forward line with no aerial presence, outnumbered and playing into a gale is one of life's great mysteries.

Anyway I've had enough of it, just dust down and get on with it.

DUblin have been very inconsistent since they've made the breakthrough. One day they look like they are going to go back to where they were 10 years ago. The next you could talk them up as All-Ireland champions. It's a massive setback for Ger Cunningham in his first big test as manager though. The qualifier route will be unforgiving too because you'll have Clare, Cork, Tipperary/Limerick, potentially Wexford all in there. The way the hurling championship is now, it's never been stronger with the overall evenness of it all.

It's been said so many times about Galway but they have their own inconsistency problems too - stretching back a lot further than Dublin's. They were very impressive but you couldn't be sure of any Galway team in the championship.
