Dublin hurling has not really moved forward in last few years, the odd big win now but won,t challenge big boys

Terrible striking, stupid passing, really bad team selection. If we continue like this well get wiped in the next match too. Rushe to centre back for a start, I think every single hurling follower in dublin saw that

The two missed penalties didn't help Dublins cause but Galway were by far the better side today . Dublin will have to regroup quickly after that big beaten , the full back line was ripped apart by Galway full forward line . To early to say how good Galway are just yet as on their day they are as good as anyone but can be caught cold at times too.

Dublin made Galway look like world beaters out there today. Still see problems in that Galway team, they have very poor discipline and for long spells they go too quiet, but they had some wonderful scores today and that is what set them up. Dublin's defeat happened in the first 15 minutes it really was only a case of how many they where going to lose by. Chasing a game like that leaves you completely at sixes and sevens and they looked desperately ragged. I really can't see why Dublin persist in Ryan Dwyer, but frankly the whole team can take the hit for this one. But a great win for Galway a fantastic confidence boost they have some lovely attacking players, very pleasing to the eye.

How did the ref get 2 yellows there? Bottles it big time. Red for Nolan. Canning will have the last laugh I'm sure.

Canning should have been sent off. He actually pulled Nolan down by grabbing his helmet. Keaney should have went too for the afters

Like the footballers take them out of croke park and you see the real Dubs, bit of a kick in the backside for the GAA spending such vast amounts of money on Dublin hurling
Laois are the team to avoid in back door now that Chedders back

That beating wouldn't have looked out of place not so long ago, but that was then and this was a little embarrassing!

@HughHunt24 - That's ridiculous. Nolan should have walked, and Keaney should have joined him.

I thought a "ONE TRIP PONY" meant you were able to play only Hurling and didn't know what a Football was! Must mean something else in KK

When Nolan went for Canning,Joe grabs his helmet.Podge Collins was sent off for less last year for grabbing helmet.Hanburry knee in O'Dwyer head missed by referee too

Well looks like Leinster hurling is as one aided as the football.
Should dubs be moved out of Leinster as they cant compete, :)

If you knew anything about Dublin hurling or football you would realise how stupid that post is on more than one level.

High hunt who are the top teams??? This is the most open championship in years and any one of a number of teams could win it. Personally I think Tipp are favs followed by kk. galway, limerick, Waterford, clare, cork (in no particular order) Are all well capable of winning and if not winning it out beating any of the other contenders. Haven't seen enough of Wexford and not sure if they are contenders but definitely think they could knock out a contender. Dublin could bounce back and beat clare ......prob won't but wouldn't be a huge surprise if they did

As a Galway fanatic, I can't get excited by today. The first quarter was awesome but everything went Galway's way. The third Galway goal was simply comical. Dublin, despite having a gale force wind behind them outscored Galway 6 - 3 in the second quarter and missed a penalty. Both Joe's goals were scored by the 41st minute, which meant not allot of Galway scoring was done in the last half hour. The attitude was excellent, but we still can't seem to score 20 points or more in championship games. Galway's big test will be how they fare with decision making and the like when the games are close and the pressure is great, and when things don't go their way. Can they win a high scoring classic? They are not 13 points better than Dublin.

As for the Dubs, it was a freak day. If they avoid Clare, they'll be back on the horse and will build momentum. I was impressed with Eamonn Dillon and Cian Boland when they came on. I saw Boland for the 21s against Kilkenny and he simply has to start in the half forward line ahead of Ryan O'Dwyer as he is a devastating runner with the ball in hand and creates havoc. Peter Kelly was badly missed.

As for discipline, eight yellow cards for Galway is poor, and if Canning, Daithi Burke and Hanbury had got the line, they could not have complained.

Before talking about Dublin, well done to Galway blew us away inside 10 minutes. The only thing is how good are you? Hard to judge by that as we were stinking. Mr Canning gets away with a lot of dirty slaps by the way, his day will come and when it does he can have no complaints about it.

Dublin, where to start? I've questioned Cunningham a lot and my fears came to roost yesterday. Rabbit caught in the headlights. Starts a lad not right to start and starts him on Galways sharpest forward then changes him after Mannion has 3 goals. Sets up man to man with a hurricane blowing down or face in the first half with puckouts landing on our 14. Insisting on playing an all star 6 in the forwards. Insisting on playing Keaney at wing back when he hasn't the legs for it. Wouldn't move Danny or SChutte to try and bring them into the game. Not sure what our tactics where if indeed we had any..

We just don't know how to create goals or take them and that will stop us from ever being a serious team

Back to the manager, out of order what he done on Paul Ryan

Lastly and this is why Galway shouldn't get to carried away, as atrocious as we were had we scored our 2 penaltys then there's only 2 goals between us at the end and if we had scored them it might have lifted us so there might be still some work for Galway to do as ye won't play a bad a side again this year. I hope we use the qualifier now to blood young lads like Boland Young Treacy Barrett and see how we go. Judging by yesterday we would struggle against anyone left in it
