Cake on The Sunday Game

yeah its very silly of roscommon talking from such a high place..one good league campaign doesnt excuse the fact that roscommon have been a very poor side in the championship for the last number of years most notably being annihilated by galway a few years ago

I think Cake is the type of lad who likes listening to himself. A bit of an embarrassment and the two other lads, like the viewers, hadnt a notion what he was on about.
The "vertical balls" take the biscuit.....
I wonder what Brolly thinks of him?

Didn't like him at all.His comments on London should have been challenged by the other 2 due to their sheer idiocy and disrespect for the GAA outside of Ireland.

He couldn't sit still in his chair throughout the show. You'd expect a 4 year to be swinging around on a chair not a 40 year old.He brought nothing that we have't already hear and was a hell of a lot more annoying than the majority of RTE's pundits.

I hope cake is reading these unflattering comments as he may have to eat some humble pie.

Just in case himself reads this forum. Did he not notice whilst playing the game that lads tend to hold positions near zones or lines eg 45 or 21? Thus if a player runs between said lines occupied by players the third player involuntarily creates a magical triangle. Whats bothering me is not his childlike belief that such would make him seem well informed.

He was very poor, mc Stay looked embarressed for him .
His take on Ulster football was cringeworthy. But yet it seemed the poor guy thought he was being original in his thoughts.

His comments were quite embarrassing and more importantly wrong. Since 2010 London have beaten Fermanagh, Sligo and Leitrim in the championship and even taken the mighty Mayo to extra time. How on earth can he suggest they aren't worthy to be in the championship. It was a cheap shot at an easy target to try and be controversial.

Anyone who passes any heed on what Curran says is a fool in my opinion, unfortunately he will be remembered more for been a clown in the media then the good goalie he was and successful businessman that he is, which is a pity. If the wanted someone from brigids the should have asked his former team mate Karol Mannion but the media are obsessed with fun people as the see it. It has to be said a lot of the one of guests on the Sunday game are ropey enough and a lot of the regular pundits come out with a lot of stupid things. Fabio your comment is rather foolish just because Brolly comes out with something stupid does that mean the whole of Derry agrees with him or big John Ray Silke has come out with a number of silly things in the media, it does not mean the whole of Galway agrees with him, especially considering the amount of work a Roscommon man Paul Coggins has put into London GAA.

They would have except Michael Lyster had used up all the challenges permitted already on Joe Brolly over hig ugly comments.

I though his analysis was very poor. He didnt even know any of the Clare/Limerick footballers when analyising game. At least Ciaran Whelan done a bit of research on game

Cake would be better off shutting his cake-hole or he'll have Grant & Phil Mitchell on his back :)

Does vertical passing mean straight up the pitch? like in soccer, where direct is called vertical, differenciated from "lateral" which is the shortpassing across the pitch stuff.

The scene where cake comes out from under the water in a bath tub on Second Captains is scarier than any of the JAWS films.
