Seems like a lively enough affair with Cavan leading by 4 as I just tune in. Surprised to see that really. Good luck to both teams by the way!! seanie_boy (Tyrone) - Posts: 4235 - 24/05/2015 15:09:29 1727638 Link 0 |
Dessie Mone there took about 15 steps before throwing ball past his man. Never a peno. doublehop (Kildare) - Posts: 4172 - 24/05/2015 15:13:39 1727639 Link 0 |
Big goal chance for Hughes but he did well to get into the position and at least got his point. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13713 - 24/05/2015 15:16:09 1727640 Link 0 |

Well done Monaghan, the better team overall imo. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13713 - 24/05/2015 15:35:53 1727649 Link 0 |
Very enjoyable game. Strange that board had gone up for 3 minutes before Monaghan keeper was treated for around a minute yet he blew it up with 2m50 injury time played. Don't want to be too critical of ref though as overall I thought he did well. Monaghan had a bit more class but Cavan worked enough and created enough to win the game well. doublehop (Kildare) - Posts: 4172 - 24/05/2015 15:38:00 1727650 Link 0 |
Disappointing for Cavan. Could've won that game. Dunne should've lobbed it in. No point in going for a point at that stage. Hard luck. Monaghan had the rub of the green in the last quarter. Glynners (Donegal) - Posts: 109 - 24/05/2015 15:39:32 1727651 Link 0 |
Good game of football. Monaghan played very well in the second half and Conor McManus is pure class, probably the best corner forward in the game today.Colin Walshe made a big impact in the second half. uibhfhaili1986 (Offaly) - Posts: 1296 - 24/05/2015 15:40:23 1727652 Link 0 |
fair play to monaghan 20 mins to go were 4 down i think hill16no1man (Dublin) - Posts: 12665 - 24/05/2015 15:41:36 1727654 Link 0 |
Monaghan will be delighted with that result. They didn't look fired up at all and were nearly caught. I'd say they are relieved and well capable of a much better performance than that. Cavan will rue those late frees but also looked to ruin out of steam. Tir Conaill Abu (Donegal) - Posts: 1671 - 24/05/2015 15:43:29 1727656 Link 0 |
Ulster is the only provincial championship worth watching. Fantastic. fire_in_belly (Donegal) - Posts: 59 - 24/05/2015 15:47:52 1727661 Link 0 |
Hard loss for Cavan to take.I thought, over the 70 mins,Cavan were marginally the better team.Monaghan didnt impress me,although they stepped up in last 15 mins, which is a good testemant to their fitness and resolve.Nice, open game, with sprinkling of quality scores. This Ulster football could catch on yet:) cuederocket (Dublin) - Posts: 5084 - 24/05/2015 15:53:38 1727665 Link 0 |
Have to say that was definitely a game that Cavan could and should have won. Cuteness and experience by Monaghan in working frees from a poor ref. was the difference. I would admit that McManus really showed his qualities today with some great scores. He really has a lot of qualities of a player like canavan particularly the ability to hit the ground when in a storable free position. offtheditch (Cavan) - Posts: 157 - 24/05/2015 16:40:26 1727689 Link 0 |
