Talking stop's now..........If Darren and Drew play, and we perform, Monaghan will win by 10 points,Cavan could be in for a rude awakening tomorrow afternoon!

If Cavan kicked 10 points more than Monaghan, Cavan would win by 10 points.

Looking forward to the game , praying all we are talking about afterwards is the game ,
Do not want the following to be main points of discussion
Sledging
The ref,
Blanket ( I can dream )
Hopefully a hard , proper championship game ,
I know the bookies have Monaghan as favourites Im not so sure , havent had a bet using the spread as I think this could be a banana skin , changed my mind a few times on this one so gave it a miss .

A lot of if's there. Expect Wyie and Hughes to be well tested if they do start.

"Cavan play football as ugly as Marty Morrissey" - Joe Brolly on RTÉ just now.

People can go on and on ad nauseum about hand passing but why would you give it in high for an aerial battle when referees will always give favourable treatment to backs. Cavan were denied as straightforward a penalty as you would ever see there.

Tomas O'Connor has walked away from Kildare and this type of certainly nonsense hasn't helped. Small nippy forwards get frees as per the rules of the game, big men apparently have to fend for themselves.

There are some soft frees in this game so far, and again.

Nothing but frees so far.

The team that improves its discipline wins this.

Terrible stuff so far. Unfortunately the ref has decided that it's all about him today. How this man gets to ref intercounty games is unbelievable.

Cavan are playing well & defending especially well. Cutting off supply to McManus. Monaghan going long stretches without scoring & majority of scores from placed balls. Think Monaghan are better than this display. They're Manufacturing frees instead of playing. Come on Cavan, would absolutely love to see you do it. Hope ye can continue the strength of the last 10 mins of first half & go the distance in the 2nd half. Come on the Breffni!

have to say has been a very good game so far
cavan far from the black death
have played some good football and apart from giving away some needless frees
have tackled superbly and just need to vary the attack more
not the dour stuff we saw last week in ulster
great crowd too

Cavan have been extremely wasteful. The long balls into Argue have been poor and when a decent one goes into him that he can get, there isn't a Cavan player within 15 yards of him for him to break or pop a hand pass off to.They've conceded far too many stupid frees as well.

I think he's gotten most things right so far to be fair.

Possibly could have given Cavan a penalty but it was a hard call. He's been spot on for everything else imo.

Both teams have been ildisciplined.

Great game of football. Cavan playing sensible football and look the better team. It goes to show the distinction between league and championship football. In terms of tactics and skill execution Cavan looking like the division 1 team. However, Monaghan still hold the aces which can condemn Cavan to defeat. Monaghan need to play McManus a little deeper to get him more involved in their game play to influence the game in their favour. Still all to play for.

The Ulster football championship is glorious.
