That game was live on TV in 96.I remember watching a recording of it on the Monday as I had been in hospital visiting my wife and newborn daughter the day of the game.
My memory of it was the fine hot day, the intensity and the terrific score by Carey to win it.I think that was the year more than 94 that Limerick should have gone on to win McCarthy.

I feel if Limerick keep Podge and Pat Burke to less than 6 points between them, the job will be half done.
Galvin is a huge loss to Limerick, but this is not impossible.
Will be a decent crowd in Ennis Saturday, lets hope Limerick kick on from a decent finish to the league.

if limerick put the shackles on kelly its hard to see where clares scores come from, limerick fast starters, clare slow starters, therefore only one winner..

Clare to win because of the lack of Limerick goal scoring power, if Clare get back to scoring goals Clare could do it by a good bit.

Looks like C McGrath will miss out for Clare if some media reports are correct.Thats 4 All Stars from 2013 who will be missing for the banner - Bugler,Galvin,P Collins & McGrath.Galvin is a big loss as hes an energetic linkman between the backs and forwards.If McGraths absense is confirmed i would be a bit worried for Clares chances.Still ive tipped them to win so cant change now.

I can't really separate them but just for the sake of a prediction I'd go with Limerick. Always the bridesmaid never the bride. I'd always find myself rooting for them or Waterford when we're out of the picture. 2-20 to 1-19
