Huge loss for Kerry hurling. 1B promotion means Kerry is no longer a designated county. We are a dual county. We need to be retaining our best hurlers and not have them being poached.

If he's playing with Cuala the Dubs have every right to ask him to come on board

dont agree with him joining our panel
but dont agree he was poached either
as he choose to join dublin and didnt commit to kerry because hes been living here for so long
if there was to be poaching surely it would have happened before now as hes been in dublin living for few years
and training with cuala before he even choose to transfer to them so dont think can be accussed of that either now

He's gone to a far far better place !what a lucky lad.
No poaching involved, would be lucky to be considered I'd say.

If he is playing with Cuala why have Dublin a right to ask him to go with them.

Because he plays in Dublin having transferred - he is a primary teacher in Dublin so why not?

As to is this good or bad? If he is good enough and legally entitled to play then he should play, on what spurious ground is to be lost to hurling? I don't buy into this sanctimonious argument about poaching (?) or the "denying local lads an opportunity" who (?). If he is legally entitled to play and he is good enough that is that, end of. Happens all the time.

It's a good thing Mick O'Connell wasn't in Cuala 60 years ago. Now that would have been poaching in the highest degree :) This is nothing new, relax.

Well its his own decision who he wants to play for and its a long way to be travelling to training, but Kerry need him a lot more than Dublin do. Hard to make it out of the lower divisions if you keep losing your best players.

I was expecting the northern response!

Sabotage is a more appropriate word than poach. The capital are taking out a potential up and coming rival.

Ha - you didn't really expect to come on from a County which has Tipp, Clare and Limerick hurlers playing for you (when there is a question over where they reside and the legailities of it all) and give out about a Kerry lad working and living in Dublin and playing for them and not get any response.

Sorry, and give out about a Kerry lad working and living and playing his club hurling in Dublin and playing for them and not get any response.

While it's disappointing to lose such an important player, everyone who follows Kerry hurling closely wishes Darragh nothing but the best in Dublin, hopefully he will bury the myth once and for all that Kerry is the hurling equivalent of the KK footballers

Also the bitter Antrim supporters should look closer to home as to why we beat them (if they actually bothered to go to that game they would have seen they were very lucky to lose by just a point) The 17 point defeat to Westmeath hopefully sent the message home that ye have no divine right to beat the likes of KY,WH,CW

For the record 16 of the 17 Kerry players who saw action aginst ye were Kerry-born with the other having a Kerry parent, so quit the whinging
