Galway's fouling against Leitrim.......Why??

What county do you hail from yourself Fabio? Maybe every county is 'at' it but some counties are better at it than others.

Such absolute nonsense posted by people clearly with an agenda or who weren't at the game. Galway were their usual naive selves, almost too attacking and usually keeping the base 5/6 up in attack. Look at Leitrim in the first 20 mins, the amount of clear shots they got in on goal, in acres of space in Galways half with noone marking them. Hardly a sign of a blanket defense. To prove the point, i'll ask who exactly out of Galways 6 forwards spent some (or any) time in defence? Shane Walsh? Hardly. Lundy? Not whatsoever. Were the corner forwards playing as sweepers or something? Sice was the only one that drifted back, and at that, infrequently.

The referee was poor in my opinion, anyone touched on either side had a free given against them. In contrast, he and the linesmen let 4/5 clear late hits off the ball slide. Was a shockingly poor display from the officials.

I'd only be delighted if Galway were guilty of systematic fouling, we've been far to naïve for far too long. No team under the current rules will an AI without having a cynical edge to them.

Galway playing Cynical football. "I think we did well when we didn't have the ball in terms of stopping them from playing".......Paul Conroys own words on the Galway "system" used against Leitrim. Let it rip lads.Just to show how unbiased ye all are.

See I got a good bit of sledging for suggesting Galway were cynical in a match against Armagh in 2013 . Sorry I did not know that Armagh people were not qualified to speak on such a matter.

For the record I have always had a soft spot for Galway.

It should also be noted that I feel all successful teams are cynical in one way or other. It may not be coached but the thing about successful teams is that the players are winners and some players will do almost anything to keep winning.

Why don't you address what I said about you on the other thread?
Regards this issue I was trying to highlight the hypocrisy of some people on the issue of how they set up to play. Since these were words spoken by the Galway captain I believe it warrants its own thread as it isn't a one off or was it just the way that particular game was played. It points to a departure in method by a so called traditional footballing county in how they go about their business. Nothing wrong with it by the way so don't get me wrong,it's the fact that if a Tyrome captain or Ulster player in general said ut yez would be wetting yerselves on here to start a thread about it.
