Sunday Game negativity

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

my opinion is its not their job to sell it its their job to comment on it.. And they are right sunday was awful watching .. when was the last good game in 2015.. we gone through a full league campaign and no one has spoken to me about a good tight match filled skill and power.. i loved watching dublin play.. but because of how good they are the blanket defense has become the norm.. Its hard to get excited about football at the moment .. cork have a savage forward line but we dont have the backs and thus championship looks bleak.I am a car sales man funnily enough and i can tell you its hard to sell a LADA

tyrone kerry kerry donegal..the 1st half last week..offaly longford...and numerous others throughout the leauge i would imagine..if you opened your mind instead of listening to what the negative people have to say you would realise there has been plenty of good games..even rte said the 1st half last week was excellent

you mentioned kerry donegal !! all ireland last year i assume ... did you really think that was a good game ??
im 39 and well able to make up my own mind based on what i see i dont follow the pack. first half last week was a s bad as the second half .. pulling dragging frees long periods where teams went with out scoring.. im not getting your point and can only comment on what i see in front of me and i dont like what i see simple as that ... i dont want to open my mind this isnt yoga i want to open my eyes and see a good game is that too much to ask for

the fact you arent even aware that kerry donegal in the league was an excellent match shows you dont follow the game a whole lot or only look out for the negatives....i was quite clearly talking about this year..the first half last sunday was excellent with some brilliant frees...the most terrible stuff iv seen lately was cork in the league final

I agree with you .. the league final was shocking .. dont believe for a second that i am not including my own county in how bad things are..
Isnt it sad when the statement comes out "there were some excellent frees in the first half" is that what we want to see ???
i dont have the power to be at every game at every venue as i must go see my own county play so i am relying on highlights and given that the donegal kerry left no impression on me means it cant have been that exciting.
everyone is entitled to their opinion as are you, But for me someone who recently retired after playing the game for 30 years 22 at adult level i cant tell you straight out the football at the moment is in poor state. Its just not enjoyable to watch and based on whats coming to light in recent weeks the sportsmanship is going from the game too .. Thats MY opinion and like you im certainly entitled to mine give the years i put into the gaa

If you were in Castleblayney for the Cork Monaghan league match you would have seen a cracker of a game

well if you dont even watch the games then you cant exactly have much of an opinion..the donegal kerry game was clearly exciting..i suggest you watch the game instead of going off the highlights and what the media tell you about it...do you judge how good a soccer match was based off match of the day?...football is as excellent as ever as evidenced by the brilliant semi finals we had last season and some quality games already this year...your entitled to your opinion but it doesnt hold a lot of weight if you dont even watch too many games as its a weak opinion then...stop being so negative..what is with people on here...forever moaning...the majority of people on here have put years into the gaa...most people dont look for a pat on the back for it

the hurling match is not on until 4pm
we have football at 2pm
and yet they come on live at 1.30pm and start talking about hurling for 20 mins
and now 10 mins to throw in in the football and not even spoke about the game
what a joke
they have loads of time to preview the hurling after the football match ends
and in the build up to the the actual hurling match starting

Brolly deserves a black card for that comment.

Jesus this is brutal stuff altogether only for the ref giving soft frees to both teams it would be 2-1 to Cavan.

So the man condemning sledging in the Sindo this morning is guilty of a disgraceful comment like that on national TV.

far from the black death so far

Brolly, after writing about sledging on the indo, has to apologise live on air for a distasteful comment re Marty Morrissey. You couldnt make this craic up.
