The Ulster Championship is meaningless now, well certainly in Antrim anyway. Im not sure if our Cavan friend was having a cheap dig, however, I agree we should not be playing in both.
I have to say I would do away with all the Ring/Rackard/Kehoe cups anyway and go with the club structure of Intermediate and Junior Championships, maybe using League positions. It would certainly be a lot more straightforward to follow

Get off your high horse Cavanman - do you not see the whole irony in the fact that a Cavan poster is highlighting the fact that we now play in the Ulster Championship after competing in the Leinster without actually thinking as to why we even looked to play in Leinster in the first place. If the likes of your County and others had taken Hurling seriously then we would probably have never had to even entertain the idea of going in to Leinster. So if people are going to throw up comments like that then don't come crying when a similar comment gets thrown back.

Cavanman47,

"Hurling snobbery at its absolute finest!

It is well known that the reason Cavan have disbanded out Senior hurling team is so that we can build from u16 up and be in a position to compete in the Ulster Championship in years to come. The efforts being made to stop the rot in what is a 99.99% football county are huge and a comment like that really is a big put-down to the people giving their time and effort to that cause. Shame!"

You're being a bit over-sensitive, I think. Anyway, how's the hurling going in Cavan? Has anyone been appointed to replace Shane Mulholland yet? I heard ye entered last year's U21s as a development squad in the Westmeath league.

Balls!!!
After getting so far under his stewardship at all levels this is a massive setback. Considering we were coming up to what could be the biggest era-defining game for Laois in years against Offaly, this really sets us back.

Hopefully he will be back in the county setup at some stage in the future, he really worked wonders with us.
