Monaghan are the only team capable of surprising Donegal

MB1 I don't think if Monaghan were to beat Donegal that it would be a surprise to anyone

I think Meath are as good Down and Roscommon to be honest..

There is probably very little between the likes of those teams and Galway, Armagh, Derry, etc.

Roscommon are getting all the hype though which probably won't be of benefit to them but in reality there is very little between all those sides on a given day.

Roscommon teams have never borne the burden of expectation well. Having said that, a lot of the younger lads on that panel have come through from Minor and U-21 teams where they would have been expected, or certainly not surprised, to beat your Galways and Mayos year in, year out. The old inferiority complex that teams in the past may have had isn't there in the same way anymore. I agree though, there's a lot of hype surrounding them and it never helps any team.

outside the top 4 no one should be afraid of anyone else and 2 of the top 4 are beatable by a top 10 team when missing 1 to 2 crucial players
Kerry and Dublin have not got that problem with current panels

The injuries to Newman and Gillespie are worrying, while both should make it back, they are missing out on valuable training at this time, i just pray we aren't going the same way as last year with all the injuries.

Green and Red............Beware of Rossies in the long grass, particularly when they have a Kerryman hiding them !
Nothing to the HYDEing we're gonna give them.

Better hope they all recover before we get ya royaldunne, for every player you lose between now and then, you can add another couple of points to your inevitable beating :D

I am hoping reald, :) missing 6 starters last year (including one of those mentioned) didn't help one bit.
Meath have a good squad but a limited one, these days it takes 21 top players to win, id say Meath scrape that by about 20 lads, we have more strength than last year with the new lads, but a injury to any key player and we are in the preverbal, finally when has stating that a player is injured been looking for excuses?? We will make Leinster final with or without those lads, but on final day i want everyone fit, then and only then will we know where we stand.

RD Meath might make Leinster Final only because they can avoid the Dubs, sets you up nicely for the qualifiers. I would rate Derry, Down, Tyrone, Armagh, Galway, Tipperary, and Ros ahead of Meath also

Maroondiesel. Not a hope. Meath are better than Derry, better than Armagh Tipp down (who we beat by 7 in league) ross who needed us to kick 20 wides and gift them a goal to beat us by 2, Tyrone would probably be on par so would Galway with the corofin lads, only time will tell, but i would not fear any of those you mentioned should we draw them in rd 4, and then hopefully wed get mayo which would be a guaranteed win for Meath (again)

Reald. Ahh i know you are. :) . Just like me with the mayo lad.
But if we are to give dubs a game we will have to have the following team Imo.
1,por, 2, keoghan, 3, McGill, 4, mcentee
5, burke, 6 k Reilly, 7 menton
8 Flanagan 9 Gillespie
10 tormey 11 harnan 12 g Reilly
13 e Wallace 14 s bray 15 Newman
Plus
Rooney (could swap with Flanagan)
Carroll
D Tobin (could swap with burke)
S Tobin
J Wallace
McMahon
D bray
Plus two more

If we field a mixture of that panel then we will give you a game and maybe just maybe a shock. But we cant afford any injuries in afraid.

You read a lot into the league RD I guarantee we are a far better team than that day and still won handy 5 Up Against Wind With 5 To Play
I only seen ye once this year to be Fair But From Match Reports Scoring Is Yer Biggest Problem Did Ye Not Kick It Away Against Laois And Ye Were Supposed To Be Cat Against Cavan
But there only league matches ild genuinely expect a 30 to 40 % improvement on our league games or we are at nothing.
And ye would have to be the same.

On a side note we had 7 changes in the final to the meath match and ild expect something similar for championship to the final team.
Yer Biggest concern seems ye only have the core 17 or 18 I can honestly say we have not that problem.

How any man can state with such gusto that Meath are better than Armagh & Derry is laughable.

We are far superior to Armagh or Derry and Roscommon.
We just are id rate us on a par with anyone in Connaught and better than most, apart from Kerry and cork we would be same in Munster, same would apply apart from Donegal and Monaghan in ulster. But we have dubs who are head and shoulders above anyone of those and us too, it will take a off day for them for us to win, but if we were in Munster or ulster we would have a shout at provincial silverware and in Connaught we would have a serious shout, but we are where we are, gotta suck it up and do our best.

Otbar i agree our scoring hasn't been upto what's needed, but we have been given Newman alot of stick over the league due to his missing scorable shots and frees, but he still ended up in the leagues top scorers, so if he had his shooting boots on then i think he would be near the top, also the return of Eamon Wallace will increase that and tormey been back , O'Rourke should add a bit if he gets chance, s bray is much better in summertime too, so while it is a worry one could not be very hopeful of a win against anyone from div 2 this year a few from div 1 and any from div 3, league means nothing, but Meath will have to meet and compete with the greatest or certainly one of the greatest teams to play the game to even win a provincial title, a luxury that other provinces can avoid, then harp on how Leinster is not good. I guarantee dubs would dominate any province , but we get on with it and we know what we have to do.

Ye are poor RD

Otbar hahahaha. That statement would carry some weight if it came from a county with any tradition of football. Now go away and come back when you can go 22 7. Oh and ill wager we will be still in championship when your planning another rossies day for glorious failure.
