Disgraceful red card

Lads Just to clear up the two yellows yesterday - I agree they were both harsh (relatively) but to be fair to the referee he simply applied the rules as they are written.
I understand that the first yellow was issues on the foot of 2 notings. once this happens a third noting means another yellow and then a red. I believe this is what happened yesterday.
Remember the referee has an assessor in the stand who is picking up on these points and every time where he doesn't apply the rules he gets docked marks.
To be fair the rules of GAA are not very well written and if they were applied to the letter of the law you'd probably end up with about 10 a side in most games.

Being devils advocate (and didn't see the game); perhaps he was sent off for a third notable infraction??? Just because it wasn't what you would consider to be a yellow card infraction in its own right, if it were the third on conceded by the player then he, by the letter of the law, must be shown a second yellow.

As I said, I didn't see the game, so just throwing it out there.....
