All the best to Noel. We just saw Jonas Gutierrez back playing for Newcastle United and fully fit recently. Modern medicine will sort it. Hope to see Noel back soon and flying fit again.

Yes,very best of luck to him. Hopefully this time next year it will all be just a distant memory and he'll be well on the way to playing championship hurling again.

Best of luck Noel, hopefully the outcomes are good and raise awareness of this particular issue which a lot of young men find a bit taboo.

Wishing Noel the very best of luck at this troubling time for him, and I am confident we will see him back in the blue and gold in the not too distant future.

one of those times where sport is given a little bit of perspective. Wishing him the very best as I'm sure all the GAA community is.

In this site there is alot of banter alot of negative comments.. Thats the nature of a forum.. But to start with i would like to wish noel mc grath a speedy recovery from his surgery..

But i think we should also acknowledge the good sides of our gaa family

when dublin won the all ireland in 2013 they brought the cup over to a sickly child in the crowd during their lap of honor ..

this coming saturday the kilkenny team are coming to cork to play a fundraising match for Jamie Wall who in a freak set of circumstances was left paralysed

last sunday waterford presented tipp a bouquet of flowers to just to let them know they were thinking of the battle noel mc grath was going through.

we are blessed with our national sport and more over we are blessed with the community and the togetherness it creates

i know on the field we would love to kill each other but no other sport has togetherness like is crowds mixing with out trouble craic being had but more over we help each other in times of trouble like no other supporters

Get well soon Noel and long live the gaa family

Best of luck Noel. You have won many a battle in Croke Park and this is another battle you will win. Looking forward to seeing you light up the Championship again.

Agreed , equally the passing of David Billings has united the GAA family in a very unusual way , and the GAA community has shown its respects the length and breadth of the country .
I say unusual as due to his college work DB was known and respected a lot further than our county borders .
