Rushe working a treat so far on the 40", as I'd suggested. Who said we know nothing about hurling in Longford! ;-)

For the first time ever i feel sorry for the Dubs....that referee handed cork about 10 points on a plate and refused to blow the whistle for multiple fouls on dublin players...unbelievable

In fairness to Dubh_linn he was pointing out your dismissing of Dublin, and he was right!

Sam, I couldn't have put it better myself..."Daylight Robbery"......Dubs were outstanding , Cork got away with consistently fouling and NO frees awarded to Dublin whereas the opposite prevailed for Cork and they were so much the lesser team that they relied on 17 frees for scores...absolutely gutted...

You'd do well to heed your own advice. You originally commented at 145. I'm not one to criticise refs but agree with above comments. Cork got away with a lot in that second half but having said that Dublin couldn't match their intensity in the the last 30 mins or so. Wild aimless pulls into a one man inside forward line won't win you games either. Nobody but themselves to blame but this Dublin team is still up there with the best of them. In need of more new blood though.

Blackrockrockeddie,
Arrogance is a terrible thing and you have it in spades boy. You can't say you didn't comment before the game was over you clearly said you would win handy but even when you're wrong you havnt the good sence to be a little modest.

Blackrockeddie,
By the way your disrespect of Waterford also proved how ignoranct and out of touch you are, but undoubtedly you'll think you were right about that one too.

Dubh linn you seem a wee bit sore to me,come on now were all entitled to opinions some times you get them right sometimes not,but lets face it you could not get the boot in quick enough when you thought you were home and dry,to be fair dubs are a better side then i taught and will do well in the championship, you see i can be humble linn

I quote..... 'I know never to quote until the game is over'. Yet there you were proclaiming a handy win for Cork before a ball was pucked. Tut, tut.

The truth may hurt sometimes, But this Dublin team are just doing what Dublin hurling teams tend to do best and thats collapse. Lose big leads etc.

Well..Cork and Waterford final.
Good prelude to their championship clash. Waterford's defeat of Galway was no fluke and they are a force to be reckoned with.
Fair play to their coaches for bringing them in from nowhere.
Hard team to beat.Kevin Moran was outstanding.
As for Cork, good performance in second half and showed guts and resilience. They were without 2 of their half back line.
Hurling is good this year..a lot of evenly matched teams
Dublin will put it up to Kilkenny in Leinster.

Fair play to Derek McGrath and the Waterford players great win. We got some luck with some of the calls but overall i thought we deserved the win. Great skill and workrate from such a young team. Interesting year ahead for Waterford.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Waterford's win (they deserved it), but that was definitely a 65, it went out goal side of the corner flag. Very strange to overrule the umpire, seeing as he's on the line. I guess it goes to show how much faith ref's really have in their umpires (which is understandable in many cases). But that appears to have been a very bad, and costly call.

That said, can't blame it for the loss, the wides we hit are what really cost us. But congratulations to Waterford, they powered through 1B, then dispatched 2 1A teams, and are in their first national final in 7 years, its great to see them back up there. I'm just wary that the final will be treated as a dress rehearsal for the Munster semi, and we might get some shadowboxing. Hope I'm wrong, and we get a replay of the 2004 Munster final (could happen).

Dublin did not collapse today. THE REF WON THE GAME FOR CORK. Handy frees given to the Cork forwards. No easy frees given to the dubs. Cork pull and drag players and no frees given. Horgan scored 12 points from frees. Ryan got 4 frees.

From play Dublin won by 7 points

Refs win Cork games.
