Superb player and one of the most effective forwards playing at the minute.

A very clever player. I've only seen him in the flesh 3 times but each time I felt he got away with a lot of fouling off the ball. He knows when to do it and when to not I suppose.

McManus is undoubtly one of the best forwards in the game at club and county level, however when McManus is marked out of the game like he was against Donegal a few years back Monaghan were totally ineffective. Yesterday gave a very clear indication of how valuable both McManus and Clerkin are to Monaghan.

McManus and Clerkin are good footballers and two players who will carry Monaghan forward, however if either of these players get injured or suspended I would fear for Monaghan.

Monaghan are a mirror image of Derry in the mid 2000's when we depended so heavily on Bradley, Muldoon and Doherty. When these players were not playing or being heavily marked Derry struggled.

Yeah he's a smashing player with an instinctive eye for the posts. At times yesterday he reminded me of Bernard in 2010, he didn't even have to look up. Only black mark yesterday was his arm clamp on Johnny Cooper to win a free that put them ahead. Tyrone were masters at this and I would hate to see it creep back into the game. Barring that it was a terrific performance.
