McManus is undoubtly one of the best forwards in the game at club and county level, however when McManus is marked out of the game like he was against Donegal a few years back Monaghan were totally ineffective. Yesterday gave a very clear indication of how valuable both McManus and Clerkin are to Monaghan. OakGael (Derry) - Posts: 293 - 13/04/2015 13:49:12 1713723 Link 0 |
Yeah he's a smashing player with an instinctive eye for the posts. At times yesterday he reminded me of Bernard in 2010, he didn't even have to look up. Only black mark yesterday was his arm clamp on Johnny Cooper to win a free that put them ahead. Tyrone were masters at this and I would hate to see it creep back into the game. Barring that it was a terrific performance. Joxer (Dublin) - Posts: 4700 - 13/04/2015 15:35:07 1713778 Link 0 |
