Good start to the game with 9 scores, many from long distance, in 12 minutes

Game has an air of an exhibition about it, no tension.

But it's how football should be played according to some! ;)

Good first half, with some very good kicking from both sides.

Cork have 7 men on the scoresheet, while Donegal have 6 men on the scoresheet. Some good high fetching from Donegal, particularly Impressive from McElhinney in the absence of Neil Gallagher.

Refreshing to see the game played as intended after some of the tripe served up by Dublin, Tyrone, Derry _ Mcfadden and Mcbrearty s scores things of beauty

Great game of hand passing and lads running around like headless chickens , God can we not do something about this rubbish I'm sick of it. 4 forwards in one half at all times and 3 handpasses max please change the rules.

ClondalkinDub solution - everyone stays in their 1/15 of pitch - kick only - I think subbuteo already tried this

I hope Brendan kealy is watching ken O'hallorans performance and taking notes on what real shot stopping looks like. And how to deal with the high ball.
Great game so far lots of great score by both teams.

Soooooo, no one is allowed to tackle any more, right? Revolutionary yes but it will take some getting used to though!

Enjoyable game with no real championship tempo some great scoring but end of the day it's only a league match that will be forgotten come June as will every league encounter.

Sam will be heading for either Dublin or Cork in 2015, wasn't champ pace but Cork showed how to beat the blanket defence, attendance is poor, why wasn't the game played in Salthill, Castlebar or Dr Hyde Park. If the attendance doesn't vastly improve for Dublin v Monaghan opening up Croke Park for games involving poor county attendance teams is a mistake and a double header in a Connacht or midland venue would be better, also why was a Sligo ref over a neighbouring county Donegal v Cork, should have been Eddie Kinsella or David Coldrick

Far better 2nd half, decent good tempered and a fairly even game of football.

We got 19 scores and lost - so much for Plan B - come champo time we will go back to making opposition score less than us rather than us scoring more than them !

Sligo isn't a neighbour of Donegal......Leitrim is between them!!.

Dunno about Sam, I reckon it's between Dublin, Mayo, Kerry, Donegal and then possibly Cork.

I would say Donegal learned a lot more from today than Cork. If my team scored 4 goals, conceded no goals, and still only won by 4 points, I would be a little concerned. Especially against a team like Donegal, who are more than capable of tightening up at the back during late summer.

Great game to watch, I think neither team showed all today, it was more about getting a run going. Nice scores from play. I think Cork handpassed the ball twice as much as we did today, but there will be little said about this later tonight no doubt.

Ah now Leitrim is sandwiched between them 5 or so miles
