Where is ulsterman when you need him.

Probably down in the pound shop with his mates getting more coloured markers for their banners.
For when they march.
(They dont know where they are marching yet or what against , but that will come to them in good time)

1714247 A vile nasty wind up merchant - embodiment of the puke football from 2003
The team evolved but he never did
Now Harte has reimbfaced the puke maybe he should do a Galvin and come out of retirement

But thank god he never made us think of Michael Jackson while watching a game of football.

Our management beat us in 2nd half in 2010, by letting gk keep kicking straight to Canty every time. And we didn't have someone on the bench to stop him since Rodgers was a risk, and Gordon was patrolling the full back line. Canty was their ace in the deck, and fair play to them. Though if they hadn't choked against Kerry in 2009 would they have been as hungry?
While it is a shame we lost our 100% final record, our one consolation is that we have gone through the front door (the proper way) for all 5 wins. Can Tyrone say that?

My best memory of 2010 was Tyrone schooling Down before Down got handy draw to get to the final.

No luck with the birds or the gee gee's, or anything else that year ? Bit sorry that a football match is your best memory for a year, but in a way a little bit proud that Down involved !!

Firstly,

When he was playing he infuriated me with his antics, but he was a 'class act' - he was a winner!!
I would love him for both the county or my club...
What most people don't know about him is that his club is Dromore in Tyrone - he lived in Belfast ( good distance) - played county, was on the club committee and took the U-10's - legend!!

Every county had a few rogues!! The Kilkenny's the Kerry's the Meaths even Armagh and Down!!!!
Love him or hate him he was never out of the GAA news during the 2000's

Well said Cú Chulainn, posted something similar Belfast to Dromore is some jaunt ..my clubs star went on the drink after '03 and wasn't available for relegation critical games...Ricey was doing it with the Ogs.
He wasn't part of the established successful underage transition programme and had to go way and work harder than everyone else to be accepted. That may have drove his competitiveness to the levels which led to episodes like dropping his knees on John McEntee. He rung him soon after to apologise so he never shrieked from his wrong doing.
I would dearly love someone with half of what he had now in the current Tyrone squad

So yez lost cos yer management didn't know what to do, as well as yer good self would have had ye been patrolling the sideline, and because Cork were unfairly too hungry for victory in order to give yez a fighting chance.Well I've finally heard it all in terms of excuses.
No good criticizing Tyrone,or any county for that matter,in relation to how the championship is set up.We won when and were we had to in order to win the other 2 titles, simple as that.Sure what can ye say about that when the likes of Cork and Kerry have been strolling into all Ireland semis for years, and now quarter finals, after a mere 2 games!Tyrone had to win about twice as many games to get those titles so for me they were well deserved and hard won.

Just watched the Ricey 'promo' on TG4 there and couldn't help but notice after winning three All Irelands the entire promo was dedicated to his knee on John McEntee, why was that so important? makes you wonder why they selected Ricey ahead of more gifted footballers from that Tyrone side...

I thought Ricey was a very good ending to the series. he told it as it was for him warts and all . for me the show was all about his contribution to Tyrones success. He was a brilliant leader from the back,He had the Gooch chasing shadows after him. He cetainly had the power to change a game. He was no saint but he dident meet many on the big stages either. he was so pumped up everytime he pulled on his jersey that he never wanted to settle for second place. Tyrone need a few with the same determination like him, We have them in Dessie and Dick and young Wylie.
