I actually think this game had more of a negative impact on the development of gaelic games than the rematch a few weeks ago did.

Be honest here, who actually enjoyed that game? I know i didn't. I can't imagine there were to many boys on the streets of Claudy or Dungiven running out to pick up the O'neills after seeing that game.

There isn't a sport in the world that doesn't have its knockers

True. Even the Brazilian beach-volleyball team has its knockers

Two fine open sporting games in Croke Park today.

The perfect answer to the moaners & doomsayers.

Indeed Muckross but that fine open game resulted in Donegal letting FOUR goals in today! What would Donegal fans rather have, an organised, defensive gameplan or an open door style and 'after you Claude' style? Would you rather be laughed at and patronised like Cork and Mayo are by Kerry after they have horsed you in Croke Park or would you rather be successful? It's the old saying 'Show me a good loser......and I will show you a loser'.

Your not a knocker if you post honestly , I've been negative over last few weeks due to the games put on in front of me , equally Im delighted to say two different but equally entertaining games yesterday , Conor McManus worth the admission alone .

Ulsterman,

I enjoyed both games yesterday, lots of fine scores, some great fielding & some ropey defending!!

The reason I enjoyed it is because there was nothing at stake.

If Donegal played like that in a championship match I would be fuming & baying for blood, but it wasn't a championship match so I'm not.

I choose instead to see the positives from this league campaign for us & there were many, roll on Tyrone.

Completely agree Muckross. I was heading up the road yesterday hoping for a nice open game of enjoyable football and if we won then so be it but if we didn't I couldn't care less. Our tackling wasn't nearly at championship pace yesterday and at one stage in the first half we had FOUR players hunched over with their hands on their knees which gives an indication of where training is at the minute.
The game yesterday showed that we can play open attacking football if required and if this can be married to a tighter defence it gives us another option of play. Some fantastic scores from all four teams yesterday and great entertainment value even though the intensity of championship was missing.
