If Joe Brolly wants "entertainment" then he should go to the cinema. Micky Harte is right. Counties want to win titles, not entertain people like Joe. I can't speak for other supporters, but if my county could win an All-Ireland, that would be all the entertainment that I would require. Brolly is not living in the real world.

Joe Brolly makes money from being controversial .His opinion only represents a small percentage of people. he was full of Tyrone when they were winning in the noughties. A real bandwagon man. he wont be on their wagon again until theyre back at the top.

Brolly has become Increasingly cut throat towards Ulster Teams, an absolute bandwagon man.

Come the Summer and a lot of this rubbish talk will be forgotten. If teams are over defensive the it is up to coaches to devise methods of combatting it. More concentration on taking points from a distance, making space for players to do so not under pressure and forward lines able to compete with defenders for dropping balls. Brolly is in the entertainment business and needs a headline to justify payment for his articles. He learnt that from seeeing how Eamonn Dunphy does it

But most team aren't going to win anything at the top level playing in a such a fashion. The likes of Armagh, Donegal, Tyrone won All-Irelands because they had top-class players sprinkled throughout the field that could execute their counter-attacking style. With respect to the likes of Derry, Cavan, etc. they don't have the same calibre of player and will only ever become a bit more competitive.

I would like to see Mayo win a senior All-Ireland more than anything, but playing 15 men behind the ball to do it would take some of the gloss off it for me. Just a personal opinion.

Essmac is perfectly right all this ego mania via media latching onto a bandwagon to hear yourself speak is what destroys a genuine amateur game The joy of driving on your team is king for me Forget Facebook and go to a few club championships on rushy fields Feel the passion drink in GAA and Ireland Do you want 3 and half hours to play a game where you have to retake the 45 cos the ads were still on Ignore the sad little ego nuts

Cjx, but the vast majority of people don't want 15 guys behind a ball. There is no need for new rules if the game was played how it was intended to be played, man for man. And that will only happen when management sets out to play that way.

If he was all for Tyrone when they were winning, then it shows that he had an appreciation for a great bunch of footballers

Whats going on now in football is a slow decline - I'm sure Sky wont be long sticking around in this space, its no longer an enjoyable sport for the neutral to watch. There are games which are an exception, but unfortunately not enough.

I watched Donegal minors yesterday play very defensively, and to my surprise, they scored 4 20 in the game. Some of the football they played was wonderful, nice long kick passing out of defense, mixed in with a running game. The options they had going forward were amazing. So I am a critic of blanket defense and nothing else, but when it is backed up with some swift counter attacking, it is a very good spectacle.
