Waterford and Wexford aren't messing about, so much for 1b teams being off the pace

Can't believe what I'm seeing... Waterford beating Galway by 10 pts and Wexford beating Cork by 6pts let's hope it stays this way for the second half.

it's always the way. No expectation whatsoever is where we are at our best. Defense has been good. Cononr McDonald giving an exhibition and guiney and mcgovern looking dangerous as ever. There's surely goals in this game

I know there was a stiff wind Doyler but there is no excuse for 15 good inter county hurlers to only score once in 38 mins.I was listening to updates on RTE radio and the commentator said they hit some very poor wides.Disappointing,as i was hoping yed win.

We suffered badly from frees when Ian Byrne had to go off. Guiney couldn't hit them at all today. I said before the Game I'd be happy to stay within 5 points of them but after the game I must say I was disgusted to lose. Happy with the response from the players though. Much better than last week.

Watching TNG today waterfords defensive set up not easy on the eye....is there a danger we'll end up like Football & rubbish like Dublin & derry last night?

i dont think our defensive style will work as well in dry conditions in bigger pitches like Thurlas and croke park. We have the players to play a more attacking style and would expect us to play that way as the year goes on. Tipp game will tell alot

cuederocket,we have to beat the round robin qualifiers first which is always a banana skin.

lads,a 10 week gap for Wexford/Kilkenny/Clare now till their next outing, now i am not one for more league games or a bigger league but surely there is no need to start the league so early?i know we have club matches etc but still 10 weeks is outrageous.

Watched the Waterford game last night and have to say it was terrible hurling, dare I say "Puke Hurling".At one stage I counted 9 Waterford players back with 25 yards of their goal marking 2 galway forwards.
What the hell is going on with our games? Even with the wind Waterford seemed to crowd the midfield area. The touch of the Galway lads seemed to be way off, the number of times a Galway player tried but failed to lift the sliothar with one hand on the hurl was incredible.
Thats not the hurling I want to see.

Of course coaches are going to tinker with blankets even in hurling , IMO it will not succeed as it would get found out easily and quickly , sweeper systems have been on the go for a while but as long as a player can stick one from 60 yards over heads why oh why would you employ a sweeper , I hear the fear and understand the question but I don't think were in for an epidemic of Homestore or More proportions .

I see tipp are unhappy with Seamus callinans straight red yesterday ... Appears the Offaly full back's trick is to give it out but fall to the ground if it's returned ... He caught Shane Dowling in their previous match . Two clean full forwards sent off on straight reds ??

Where as I would like to retain a full forward line to have reasonable goal threat I love the work ethic and to see Kilkenny and how hard they work, this young team are working very hard. I hope the team are allowed to develop over next 3 years and see what happens. There is still another gem in the full forward line (Patrick Curran)to come within next 2 years, Along with Bennett and Shanahan, Daragh Fives somewhere in the middle I believe Waterford can be as competitive as they were in the noughties
