Mike03 meaningless matches you keep going on and on and on and on , the matches in Div one A weren't meaningless obviously you wouldnt have seen any ,but you see unlike a rugby fan or rugby county like yourself some people dont just see our national sport as the Munster Summer Festival , even then its not as if you get to attend that often to even that .

I'm convinced by now that if Limerick lost an All Ireland final Mike03 would come on here and say that there will be other days, the championship isnt important, or something to that extent. Do you really think that players who train 5-6 nights a week from December want to go out in one of the dozen matches that they play a year and dont care if they lose? I bet you one thing, those Limerick players were devestated after losing to Offaly. And I can assure you at the celebrations at full-time in Wexford Park it didnt look like they didnt care either!
For what its worth, how many times have the county who won the league won the All-Ireland in the last 10-20 years?

Dublin v Limerick - Dublin, apparently Limerick have given a walk-over due to lack of interest.
Offaly v Tipperary - an improving Offaly side to battle gamely but Tipp to prevail.
Cork v Wexford - Wexford to bounce back from last weekend but Cork by 3 points.
Waterford v Galway - Galway, because Waterford were so good last Sunday they cant be the same again!

Mike03, Limerick have picked the strongest team available to them and we really need to perform against Dublin, hopefully win and get another competitive game in a league semifinal. Of all the teams with ambitions to win the A.I. Waterford and Limerick are the 2 who really need to win the league Q/F games as they are both team building and need tough games now against strong opposition and not "Challenge" games in April before the Munster championship.

Tipp should beat Offaly with a bit to spare.
Cork to beat Wexford.
Dublin and Limerick is hard to call, neither county seems to do well in Croker, I take the Dubs to nick it.
Waterford V Galway is the hardest to call.Home advantage and greater momentum/confidence tips it toward Waterford but no result from this tie would surprise me.
KK to add to Davy's woes in the relegation game.

It was just shocking, so disappointed with Limerick. Two of there main players are over weight at this time of year it's beyond me with championship only weeks away. They now have question marks with down the middle the best one being fullback. Dublin have to be favourites for the league now played some nice hurling and look very good all over

Awful stuff, but apparently Limerick are a championship team so expect a much improved performance in a few weeks in Munster....maybe I've never noticed but is Richie McCarthy always carrying a gut like that?

Delighted for the Dubs though, they looked sharp and hungry. I expect a long summer from them.

So Limerick will get blasted after this - then come the Clare game they will be crazy psyched up to prove everyone wrong, beat them by about 15 points - but by the time it comes to the business end of the Championship, people will be saying they are a great team and then they wont know what to do with themselves

They have one of the finest first 15 in the Country, but their season is so predictable!

Fair play to our lads thus far this season, showing a lot of determination, hopefully they can keep up with Cork this time.

Dubs favourites? Nice try Therealtmo! We know full well that Tipp are a different "animal" now to the team we hammered in Parnell in February.Tipp should win the league now with
the Cats taking a break till summer. We Dubs will be happy to be where we are, waiting in the long grass!

My predictions for the other games,
Tipp to hammer Offaly.
Cork to beat Wexford by 5 or 6.
Galway to narrowly beat Waterford.
Kilkenny to relegate the Banner.
Tipp's league,

Dublin look like a serious team lads, can't see them being beaten now in the league, Tipp might not even get to final never mind win today, trained last night which is never a good sign for Tipp.

Very good win for the Dubs but Limerick never turned up. Could be the faster pace of the game that caught Limerick out but they have a lot of work to do before they face Clare in the Munster championship. Things looking good for Dublin with another good match against Cork or Wexford to come .

For a better structure - have a 14 team Div 1 - divided into 3 tiers, A, B and C, with team quantities of 4, 7 and 3.
Merge strong tier A and weak tier C to form group AC - and each team in AC plays each team in mid-ranked group B (7 match schedule).
Top 4 from one 14-team league table to KO SFs - bottom team of 14 relegated, and replaced by Div 2 NHL champ.
Next yr, has teams 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 13 & 14 in group AC.
