Suas Sios - yeah I believe so. Its using the Ireland Grid Reference site which gives altitude for any point. Found the pitches on googlemaps then used their site which gives an approx altitude reading. As for Bailieborough, its way off at only approx 151m. I reckoned it would be between Cork and Antrim as the highest village in Cork is only a few metres higher than the village up the road from me.

However, for anyone keen to go searching to see if there are any higher:

Meelin GAA field is 290 though. That's a nice climb out of the village!

So Rockchapel is the current leader - any advances?

Just seeing the Meelin post - I thought I was on the pitch but obviously not then.

Mullinalaghta/St. Columba's pitch, the Laurels, in north Longford is situated on the edge of picturesque Derrycassin Wood & nearby Lough Gowna.

Some great suggestions there. As a Louth man, interesting to hear someone mention the O'Raghallaigh's pitch in Drogheda and Mattock Ranger's pitch in Collon! The pitches in Lordship (St. Pat's) and Cooley also have great backgrounds.

According to the grid reference, stars of erin in glencullen is at 285m.

for the most scenic, id go for setantas old pitch in ballymun, lovely backdrop of burnt out cars, crocked-backed piebald horses and used syringes

As has been mentioned An Tochar from Roundwood, Co. Wicklow must be in with a shout for highest pitch. The town claims to be the highest in Ireland although I know other places claim this too! I passed Ilen Rovers in West Cork on holidays last summer and have to say what a beautiful setting that was. I saw Daire O'Shea showing a camera crew around An Gaeltacht's pitch recently in tv- literally a wall separating it from the Atlantic! It was spectacular.
I know it's off topic but images from the 80s/90's of British military helicopters above Crossmaglen's pitch still stand out in my mind.

Back in the 80's I can recall our match in Falls Park in Belfast being stopped as joyriders screeched across the pitch. It seems funny now but it was hairy at the time as fellas all dived out of the road. I would have to go with pitch at Waterfoot on the Antrim coast. You have the Irish sea on one side and the mountains and glens on the other; the sunrises on that stretch of the island can be stunning an a clear cold morning. There is a club in Downpatrick beside Strule graveyard that has some lovely views of the Mournes in the background.

There are lots of "scenic" pitches but the nicest "urban" one I've been in is St Brendan's Park Birr - lovely stadium, nice urban aspect in the heart of the town so for me "scenic" is an urban thing as much as cliff top pitch.

On a wet day, Pairc Ui Chaoimh looks like something that was built in communist Russia and parked in a Brazilian favela..on a dry day it just looks 100% awful..after an £80 million cosmetic makeover, it will look like the proverbial lighthouse in the (literal) bog..

St Michaels Dunfanaghy Co Donegal is really nice. Sligo has a great view of the mountains in the backround too

Urban pitches struggle here as they lack Mountain ranges and picturesque valleys. But Dublin clubs have use of pitches in some very nice locations, e.g Ballinteers pitches in Marley park. Malahide's pitch in Malahide Castle especially the one that looks like it was set up on the front lawn with Malahide Castle and visitor centre in the background. Also the one on the hill of Howth.
There is more to Dublin than you think.
