tHE GAA dont look down on or do anything to prevent anyone from poor areas join/play/etc (in fact inmany of thesxe areas theres a lot more socialmenbers than players). Every team has its sprinkling of flecks/rich, reflecting the area its from, even what are considred posh clubs like crokes and cuala have a few flecks thrown into the mix, and there are clubs in every single area of Dublin, except the really posh parts, from Joeys in the north inner city, St James gaels etc. the problem some (by no means all) of these clubs have isnt discrinination or any conspiracy theory cr*p, its that soccer is stronger in most council areas, especially the newer ones. A higher proporcion of the current hurling panel (I dont follow the football so much, so I couldnt tell you) are what lads like you call "working class" than most other county teams at the moment.
If you were working in whatever yuppie job you were at in Dublin, you might as well be in Dubai, for the amount youll learn about the feal Dublin

Flack there are some big areas in Dublin that have no GAA club - ie blackrock and dun laoghaire , both have populations of 30k + and no GAA club
