Whoa, I'm not saying it should be changed to suit Limerick, Waterford, or any one team, or that it should be changed at all, good grief! I just used Waterford and Limerick as an example. It would be the same question if Waterford won promotion, and Wexford won the league. And it was a question, not a suggestion. I was just pointing out the unusual situation that could occur, whereby a team could win the league, but not be promoted to the top tier. If Wexford won the league, but were still in 1b the following year, would most people be ok with that? I'm actually not in favor of further tinkering with the league format, but if this logic flaw is exposed, it might cause the big-wigs to start tinkering again.
