It's funny because last year Dublin were meant to be unbeatable and the year before that nobody was going to stop the Donegal machine, and we all know what happened on both occasions so this year we would do ourselves justice not getting too carried away with how good Kerry will be.

It made for a nice headline for Maurice Fitz to play at 46 but it also emphasised the decline of numbers playing in rural areas. Caherciveen would be the most populated town in South Kerry and they were even stuck for numbers forcing their manager to tog off, even if the legend himself!

Agree with Saffron. Dublin this time last year were runaway favourites but this year a whole host of teams are in the leading bunch. Kerry are no way inferior to those teams but also teams wont be in awe of Kerry whereas they might have been last year with the Dubs. Any team is beatable this year

In comes Mr Galvin. Personally I am happy to see him back with so many high profile players retiring between last season and this season.
