folks. There is a players lounge beside the changing rooms under the stands. Players can enter here and have a couple of drinks and something to eat after a match. All is free also. This is great from the GAA. Do people on here really expect that after a match ALL doors should be thrown open to everyone? If a player wanted his family then he was free to leave straight after he was togged. Like 99% of the time I imagine. The GAA try and do something for players after a big game and clowns still castigate them. I don't often support the GAA but they are 100% on this one. And long may it last

IS this isolated? Rugby teams from abroad were let practice on the croke park pitch prior to playing there. No such courtesy is afforded to GAA teams bringing players who have not experienced the stadium effect before.I know Dublin get in there often anyway before someone says it. But I am particuliarly conscious of fairness towards minor teams up for the 1st time. The stadium Company needs to do more to respect those who make the GAA what it is instead of pandering to those of false importance.i.e Would Garth Brooks have had trouble getting his children in?.

Ashrules, rugby players were allow train on the pitch because it was part of the contract when rugby was played in Croke Park.

The players lounge is an area where both sets of players go into after the match for a meal and a drink if they want to. Both clubs would be given a certain amount of tickets to facilitate the players and mentors. It is not a family lounge and i'm sure the losing team would not appreciate an invasion of celebrating relatives. This is a nothing story drummed up by a relatively successful club
