what I meant was Portlaoise too small to be the second stadium in Leinster and therefore needed re-development. Leinster needs a 35,000 -40,000 capacity stadium with at least 2 covered stands. Kilkenny, Carlow, Wexford, Longford grounds etc are fine and serve their counties needs for the most part but they are too small. You don't need the number of white elephants like we have in Munster but you need one decent sized stadium outside Croke Park.

There is also something wrong with grounds not having stands/terracing behind the goals. It takes from the atmosphere to have no-one behind the goals. Tullamore is a fine ground for the most part but it looks unfinished and odd to have nothing behind the goals and having an U21 national final with nothing but grass banks behinds the goals just doesn't look right.

How did PT even get the final if it needed "remediation work" and why were Meath and opposition fans allowed into PT all year if it supposedly wasn't safe? Someone has either messed up big time or there's something important we're not being told, I'm very curious about this sudden switch and I think Meath fans deserve solid answers.
