your better off not understanding the commentary as all it does is cloud your opinion of what you see yourself all they give is their opinion which nine times out of ten is completly against what i have seen when at the match in person. gaa is not a tv sport in my opinion so much happens all over the pitch that you cannot see from your armchair all your being shown is what the cameraman looks at any given time thats why I never base an opinion on any team by what i see on tv of them. other sports like soccer and rugby are played at a sedate pace and movement off camera is very little so you dont miss much.
I don'd think they should be shown on TV at all. The crowds at games are very low and i for one would like it off the air to encourage more fair weather fans to attend
