Simple solution and one that is gaining interest us for a stand alone gaa channel. But that would be on a subscription service. Looks like those complaining about sky could have a lot worse scenario.

of course it would be a subscription service royal yet you still will have people here looking for everything free..typical...do people not realise they pay quite a large license fee towards rte

Fabio I tried

Admin didn't publish it and tbh.. I'm glad they didn't as I shouldn't have posted it in the first place

Sky outbid TV3... I know it as a complete fact as I know a couple of men that work in the TV3 sports department

Being an Internet forum - going into the level of detail that you demand is impossible

But yes.. They were outbid

TheMaster:

Arock, pay for play is totally unrelated. People are asking a business to cover their product,

What you on about, if Pay per View stays on the menu and expands, then pay per view will soon follow. Right now Sky's TV coverage is insignificant and hardly earth shaking. But this is not about Sky, its about accountability in the GAA and the lack of it, GAA HQ screwed up big time last year and are simply accountable to no one.

Democracy is overrated (in sport anyway). county boards just end up looking after their ,own interests, while the greater good comes second.
The GAA needs a Barry Hearn type character. A dictator, wholl come in, do whats right for the association while not having to worry about keeping people sweet.
