Dont blame the Refs. Have you ever seen some Premier league football refs? Not great at all. Also rugby has it's fair share of poor ones. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2519 - 02/03/2015 12:12:20 1698256 Link 0 |
the standard of refs at minute is shocking, watching the Tyrone match the other night and I have to say he had a shocker full stop, he give a few that were soooo bad, then the free at the end were Derry should have had a free out and then Tyrone got a free in. it needs looked at ASAP cause at the minute the ref can decide who wins a match not the best team on that day... youngfella27 (Armagh) - Posts: 110 - 02/03/2015 12:47:36 1698274 Link 0 |
Yes it's true but there are far more officials available for the ref to consult with and on most occasions he just doesn't do it or the umpires fail to act when they see incidents happening right in front of them. This to me is more frustrating than a ref getting a call wrong when he is 10 to 15 yards away and partially unsighted. The umpires need to be empowered more IMO and accountable i.e. if a camera shows that a red card incident occurred straight in front of an umpire(s) and that umpire failed to act then some form of sanction should be imposed. Same goes for any other official who gets an obvious call wrong. Joxer (Dublin) - Posts: 4700 - 02/03/2015 12:48:21 1698275 Link 0 |
