I agree it's ridiculous to ask Dublin to stop bringing in sponsorship.. Simple solution.. Split Dublin in half! The resulting areas would still be the two biggest populations in the country!

You have a bigger population than some of the counties winning all Ireland's so maybe there's more to it.
Best of luck this year.

Even before the days of 'big' money, the weaker counties were also weak, and will remain so even in the future

since when did the entire population of a county play on the pitch
its not a braveheart style war haha
china has near 3 times the population of the other biggest countries
so by your reckoning it must be disgraceful they have never won a soccer world cup

Same old tired and outdated arguments. Dublin has this , Dublin has that blah blah blah. Dont hear much complaining about the big sponsorship counties like Kerry get from Kerry group. And sure fair play to them. What about other counties who have received sponsorship from from multinational communications companies, alcohol chains , airlines etc etc. Fair play to any county that gets a good sponsorship deal. You won't hear many Dubs begrudge them

Fair play. Don't see any problem with it whatsoever.

If every county board got their house in order and actively went out searching for sponsors and managed the money well no doubt the whole intercounty scene would be in a better state.

Don't understand the whole 'share the funding to weaker counties' arguement either. Essentially you are punishing one county for being better at something than another. What incentive would the weaker counties have to attract sponsors if they could say "Well sure Dublin are bringing in huge deals which we'll get a share of anyway".
