ok in line with the request above my results to date are

Week 1 - 10/16 - 63%
Week 2 - 9/16 - 56%

Weekly average - 59.5%.

Clearly the most satisfying result was a Tyrone performance full of intensity & character

great win for us in Castleblayney. We have four trips to Ulster venues-that was a brilliant start to that. Colm O'Neill was the difference. Ryan Wylie did not do too badly but when O'Neill was able to get a bit of space, he took his chances and won the game for us. The sign of a class player. His free taking style is also class.

Yes away to Kerry and Mayo, should be good close encounters one would hope.

wfkerry I don't recall any Dublin posters here who were assuming Dublin were going to win the All Ireland last year. Nor do I see anyone claiming on the basis of last night that they are going to win this year! If anything the early form indicates that there are a good few teams well up for this year and wide open I would say, certainly within the Div I teams with possible exception of Derry, no offence, and 2/3 dark horses who could still be kicking football in the Autumn.

Cork are interesting. Some were speculating that the defeats in league semi final and Munster final and tame exit in championship would have been physchologically debilitating. No sign of that! Two tough hard won wins for them so far and more to come I think.

Agreed. He was the difference we didn't have the same cutting edge and worked a lot harder for scores. Cork defended well and we couldn't get the likes of Hughes and McManus on the ball enough in threatening positions.Hasn't he had two cruciates absolutely class when on form. Big miss for us today was Darren Hughes who was man of the match against Tyrone. Such a tough division best 8 teams in country and it's where we belong, need to stay in it. Last time we were in it we threw away a lot of points also.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's important to remain in Division 1, anything else is just a bonus!

Disappointed with the end result but I felt that we played well , I think we need to make better substitutions,
I know we got 16 points today but I think we should be sticking them over instead of trying to work a goal everytime.. points knock a team back, nothing worse than a team scorng point after point against you,
Ryan Wylie was fantastic I thought as was Drew, We are in for a real battle now but scoring 1-16 against Cork is a positive , I feel that the Donegal and Derry games are winnable,
Well Done to Cork, Colm O'Neill know's where the net is , took that goal when others could have gone for a point
Monaghan Abu

There was little in it. you were very efficient in the first half- taking all your chances. In the second half there were some bad wides. The last free should have been taken from the ground. It is easy to be wise in hindsight and Conor McManus is a fine free taker. However, that was a pressure kick and he would reduce the pressure I feel if the ball was on the ground.

It is important to stay in Division 1. You had a great win last week. You still have to play the big 4 (Donegal, Dublin, Mayo and Kerry) and there are no easy points there. You need to win one of them and you must beat Derry. We also have one more game that is a must win to stay in the Division. Very promising start. It has really taken me by surprise. We were in this position last year too and our season became a farce from April to August. Being more cautious this year as a result.

Week 1 - 9/16 - 56%
Week 2 - 9/16 - 56%

Weekly average - 56%.

3 Away wins in Div 1 killed me, didn't see that happening.

Amazed to see some comments after the Mayo game about Tyrone doing too much defending. As soon as Tyrone win a serious match that old one is rolled out by some again. Attacking good. Defending bad.

tyroneed, I wouldn't worry too much about that, I thought the Red Hand were excellent today.

Thats the Mayo people for you! blaming the referee all over social media for their defeat yesterday. Also Pat Holmes saying on tv last night that he didnt know how to deal with 15 players behind the ball.. Awful rubbish, i saw the game and thought Tyrone played the more attractive football, yes they defended together but Mayo were woeful.. 16 wides, one point from play in the whole game, and O Connors goal was a sguare ball as was pointed out on League Sunday last night! Their discipline was poor and o Shea knew exactly what he was doing in hitting the goalkeeper late!! Tyrone scored 1 11, not bad with 15 men behind the ball!!

Belclare1 - Cop on good lad....if you are being the view and knowledge of supporters on that terrible spectrum of social media then you have low standards. I even say people saying our new management have no clue after only the second league game.

On the game itself, yes Tyrone had 15 men behind the ball at many times but broke at speed and done the job they had to do. We were aimless and clueless but like last week when I said there was no point getting carried away after beating Kerry, I won't get too down about loosing yesterday. Fact is none of us know exactly what type of training teams are doing this time of year etc.

Mayo kicked some terrible wides but that can happen at this time of the year.

Tyrone were just the more efficient of the two sides and that's what won it. I thought the ref did okay in general. O'Shea got what he deserved I thought. Maybe a little bit of frustration but he'll learn from it.

Posters please can we stop with the after every defeat "Ah they did a very hard training session this week" or "I was told he trained them very hard that's why we were bet", please it's getting so old and boring now you were bet just take it and move on.

I agree,I often moan about blanket defences, but I don't think Tyrone played that way as such.I am sure Kildare fans would agree that their team played more of a blanket defence on Saturday night.

Only surprising thing about O'Shea's hit on Morgan was that the did not fall to the ground after clutching his own head, as he is wont to do after one of his UFC gambits :-)

Great to get up and running yesterday, that Kerry performance was a million miles away from what I saw in Killarney last Sunday week. Sheehan had a mighty game and please God he gets a bit of luck this season injury wise. Moran continues to be outstanding and Sherwood is looking like a class act. Paul Geaney is maturing nicely I just hope we get Kelly back soon as Kealy is prone to doing at least one daft thing per game!

Think Derry are in real trouble now, they were far too lateral yesterday in possession. As for who might join them in the drop its all up in the air, but I think Tyrone look likely contenders. A great win yesterday for them, but considering the wides Mayo kicked it may have been a fortunate one.

Kerry are off the mark and starting to purr nicely, looking forward to getting the Dubs down to Killarney now in 2 weeks and sending them back up the rocky road with a bit of dented pride! An Riocht Abu...

I really enjoyed the game on Saturday night despite the result. I have to admit to being very impressed by some of Dublin's "second string". When I saw the lineups I was fairly confident in a Donegal win. I even backed them -2 @ 4/1. But fair play to Dublin, they were very tigerish and turned the ball over well. McCaffrey's goal was a cracker.

For ourselves, I felt the shooting was a bit off and our decision making let us down a wee bit at times. Hopefully we can put that down to rustiness.

The division is extremely competitive this year. From one weekend to the next it'll be very hard to predict the outcomes. Great preparation for the Championship and in reality, any team with AI aspirations needs to be playing at Div 1 level in my opinion.
