Dublin - Unbeatable

All these bitter disappointments are making you a bit punchy

If you think Mayo after being 5 points up, having played the AI Champs off the pitch in the 2nd half with only 3 minutes to go didn't bottle it...

Then I'd give sport a rest for a while... it must be very hard to be a Mayo supporter

Master,

Mayo were favourites to win 2012 & 2013 All Ireland finals. A couple bad decision on the sideline cost them badly in the games.
I think Mayo could win it this year as there is less pressure on them.Throw in Stephen Coen and Durcan from Castlebar into defence and Diarmuid O'Connor and Adam Galalgher in attack Mayo could go win it out.

My opinion yes, and the opinion of 99.99% of others also. Obviously they weren't good enough on the day, but let's examine why. By a distance the best team - a widely accepted fact - who lose, badly, to a rank outsider. Generally, that indicates a mental frailty of some sort. I mean, let's call a spade a spade, that's bottling it. It is a term used in gaa and that is a nailed on example. It is hard to take a person seriously if they would deny that. If someone said to me that mayo bottled it in 96, then they could well be right, well this is an even more conclusive example. I don't think I am being unfair there.

As I already alluded to. Mayo are the plucky underdogs, capable of the occasional upset, or almost as in the above. But we have no forwards, and as you described above, a leaky defence. We went good enough because we were not the top team in the country. Kerry had a better squad than us and that was the difference. But we know that Dublin had a better squad than Kerry, that was all over the boards after they won sam last year.

"Widely excepted facts" and "99.999999%" no less! You sure it wasn't 99.9999999999% fella? Wow.

You've actually totally abandoned any subtly now haven't you? If it makes you feel better to say that Dublin have 'mental fragility' because they were beaten by a better team on the day so that's fair enough but Mayo display no mental fragility even though they were beaten by a better team on the day too. Positively Orwellian in your hem 'logic

5 points up with a couple to play. You're the first and only person to ever state that this Mayo side have a leaky defence, how many All-Stars in this leaky defence of Mayo's? ;)

I see that you are also referencing that what was said "all over the boards" as unequivocal facts too. It keeps getting better.

Your whole premise it based on your "widely excepted" facts (well what a few people said on a internet forum!) and the fact that your newest claim that you speak for 99.999999999999999999999999999% of all GAA followers!

Comes back to this - Dublin were;t good enough on the day and lose to a better team on the day = bottled job

Mayo not good enough on the day beaten by a better team on the day = not a bottle job.

Objective logic - the Master style wha!
