>If Kildare win this I'm making a thread calling for their removal from the O'Byrne cup.

Or maybe split into North/South Kildare....

Kildare @ 13/8 are a decent price for this!

13/8 is a good price I would see it closer to evens, although Dublin are putting out a strong enough side. Tg4 are showing the replayed all Ireland semi final from last year, what for?
Kildare by 4

It was never on TG4 - someone in the print media got that one wrong and everybody else seemed to follow

Was away for afternoon. Seems like a good game. Was it on TV?

Very entertaining game. Encouraging performance from a few fringe and up and coming Kildare players. The going back to 15 at extra time thing will never make sense to me though I suppose the real way to punish Dublin would've been to score the resulting free and win it. Bit of experience and depth won it for Dublin even with the players they were missing. Kildare's lack of depth in the backs being once again so apparent would be the one major worry. Still it was ideal preparation for Down next week where a similar level of aggression and tact should see Kildare win.

Good value today for 10euro , Jack mc Caffrey back to some brilliant runs through the Kildare defence, memories of 2013. John small played well as did Fitzsimons (who usually i moan about). but apart from KEV MC we were poor up front.no one wanted to take responsibility to go for a score.Although Costello played yesterday so i dont know why he started. Brady gave away a lot of ball and Bastic was very poor in his distribution of the ball. Shane Carthy done very well when he came on. Mdmc like last week more a liability than an asset ,He away a lot of scorable frees to Kildare.
Stupidly got sent off when score was level and we were on the attack to win game in normal time. Only Mulhall missed the free (which he hadnt missed much up to that) we were bet.
Conghaile has had better games ,but never stopped trying and won back a few balls he had no right to.

Really enjoyable game some great performances from both teams , did anyone see what McAuley did? Can't believe he got sent off in such a silly way that's him gone for a month now. Thanks to the kildare people lovely little venue that makes it a great atmosphere. The Roc outstanding as always.

Very enjoyable game. From a Dublin Perspective some very Good performances Sean Currie had a decent game Kick outs were good and excellent under the high ball,John Small excellent through out, Culligan, ROC, Fitzy were solid.

Shane Carthy was excellent he is going to play a big part this year. Kevin Mc, Rock and Brady were very good.
MDMA was very poor nearly cost us the game, His place could be under threat with the good showing of Carty and O Conahaile.

I thought O Gara was treated very badly. A lot of off the ball crap aimed at him hoping to get a reaction. Fair play to him under a lot of provocation he kept his head.

I think we can take a lot out of the O'Byrne cup this year. We played probably the 2nd, 3rd, 4th teams in Leinster in Kildare, Meath and Laois away and won very hard fought games.

Roll on Sunday in Pairc ui Rinn...

Yes Horsebox it will, didn't really see it, looked innocuous enough but I stand to be corrected.
