plenty of non biased views on here, isn't there. Although he didnt play much last year i'll miss the baby faced assassin Tommy Walsh, the best all round hurler ive ever seen play the game.

Cant believe everyone is not mentioning Tommy Walsh.

Arguably the best player to ever play the game.

Mick Foley from my own county. Although not 'officially' retired can't see him coming back in a year. Great player for Kildare and one of our most consistent players over the years. Solved our full back problem up to last year but also versatile enough to play midfield and half back. Think he also had a stint in the half forwards. Always felt we were a lot weaker without Mick. Really glad he got at least an all star for his efforts. Could still do with his experience even coming off the bench.

Declan Sullivan, a fantastic skillful player who worked tirelessly and often got Kerry out of a hole. Also seemed like a humble genuine guy.

Can't forget our own John Galvin. The best player ever from Limerick and will be greatly missed.

From my own county - Aaron Kernan. Rolls Royce of a footballer and so reliable when hitting a free from his hands.

Was good for 2-3 points a game from halfback.

Obviously being from KK I will miss Tommy and JJ the most,2 of the greatest.
Here is a team of retirees from 2014
1 David Herity KK
2 Brian Murphry Cork
3 JJ Delaney KK (one of the greatest)
4 Rory Hanniffy Offaly
5 Stephen Hiney Dublin
6 Brain Hogan KK
7 Tony Browne Waterford
8 Tommy Walsh KK (one of the greatest)
9 Stephen Molumphy Waterford
10 John O Brien Tipp
11 Seamus Prendergant Waterford
12 Podge Collins Clare (I think he will be back)
13 Damien Hayes Galway
14 Eoin Kelly Tipp (one of the greatest)
15 Taggy Fogarty KK

Subs
James Skehill Galway
Liam Lawlor Waterford
Brian Campion Laois
Shane Walsh Waterford
Jamie Nagle Waterford
Kevin Brady Offaly
Eoin Quigley Wexford

Not a bad team with a lethal full forward line.
In their prime would take some beating with 3 of the all time greats lining out
If I left anyone out please add them

That is some list of retirees in one year, so many genuine top class players in hurling and football, stephen oneill, declan osullivan, benny coulter retired, I'd say a lot of defenders are sleeping a little easier this spring knowing they won't have to face those lads in 2015.
