I dont mean the knees trembling, stomach churning type of fear.It is of a more subtle type.We have such a dominance in Leinster that most of the teams are already beaten in the pre match parade.A bit like Kilkennys in Leinster. We have a certain aura about us now.Meath wont fear us on Sunday, and will hit anything that moves, but come the white hot heat of the Summer in a packed HQ,the old doubts will resurface in yere subconscious as the Dublin behemoth gets ready to serve up another dish of capital punishment.

Parking still the same as years ago, unfortunately:(

Meath fearing dubs???? Id have said absolutely not prior to Leinster final. Now im not so sure, i have my own theory as to what happened and majority of it been down to trying to be too clever. But now is time to stand up. Mod didn't cover himself in glory during or after Leinster final, if that happens again in another final then it will be his last. This game is a chance for mod to see dubs second string against ours and maybe learn something.

Will extra time be played?

Be interesting to see how Mod manages game from side-lines, big improvement required. Dublin's fringe players will put it up to us, I would imagine Meath will play several established players. A win would be a much needed boost to confidence. Good to see a bit of interest this early in year. Time we started to nail down starting positions for league

Meath name experimental side with only 6 starters from Leinster final and one of them first game this year
But great experience for the younger lads .
When will dubs side be announced?

Cue yeah but i think i included joey Wallace by mistake. I think he was a sub that day , old memory going in old age :). Brays first game of year, keoghan, d tobin , menton and g Reilly are obviously the ones that will be involved come championship, so it really is all about finding 2/3 others that can compete at the highest level,

Why Menton is not midfield is beyond belief

Ziggy i do think mod wants either Rooney or Flanagan to partner Gillespie so id say that is reason.
If dubs start 5 or so of their regulars then we in for a good game. What position is rock this year? Just interested in who will pick him up, keoghan is best man marker in game ( well one of them) but with costelloe too dubs have so many threats it could be a case of nullify one the other has a field day. Really looking forward to tomorrow, im getting there early , huge crowd expected and with pt capacity so low these days want to get good vantage point.

Ill be there well before one ziggy. Now it will be a freezing day but i think it could be a sell out with both ends not open.

Think it will be a good game tomorrow. We have ROC , Butsy and Nicky in defence , Bastick and Conghile in midfield, O Gara, Kev mc, Costello. Rock and Shane Carthy up front to name a few.

Molloy

Devereux Small Cooper
Bastick O'Conghaile
Brady Rock Carthy
Kev Mc O'Gara Costello

Strong side. With Meath fielding a decent team too, should be a good game.

Great game for January football. Meath literally kicked it away. Exciting game even if meaningless. Huge crowd and both teams entertained the supporters till the end.
It gets a lot more serious in two weeks , Harry Rooney was outstanding and i think has put himself on pole position to partner Gillespie.
