Cork hurling champions beaten by Kerry!

Oldtourman, I didn't know that. thanks for the info.

On another note, I used to go to a lot of Munster championship games and the warm up event was never the minors, it was an intermediate intercounty game and I'd always thought that this level would suit the developing counties better than just playing amongst themselves with a pat on the back of an B championship or the likes.
It works at club level, why not intercounty?

They also do that for Intercounty Camogie, Bricktop.

How will Portaferry fare against Cushendall?

Supposedly there's a rule or something behind Christy Ring teams not being allowed to enter the Intermediate Championship. I think it is wrong. The 8 Christy Ring counties should be allowed to enter the Intermediate championship as they are a tier below McCarthy level. It'd be a good test for Kerry to be in against the other 5 counties in the Munster Intermediate championship. It would also give these counties the possibility of some more game time over summer months if they were to progress.
