Are Kilkenny embarrassing other counties?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Some valid points there tim,but the gap between the elite counties and the rest is so vast,im not sure what the solution is.I think each county is responsible to get their own house in order.Fair play to the small pockets of clubs in each county that love playing hurling, but these counties are light years away from the top 10.

You are dead right Timbur

Look at this year for example Offaly got 2 chances to save themselves from relegation which was a total farce.

They lost once and should have been down in Div 2 this year.

Kerry should be playing in Div 1B.

Now its not Offaly's fault they were given that chance by the people who govern that aspect of things.

When you see the situation they are in now having to bring in people from the outside to find out whats the RC of the problem and counties like Kerry , Kildare etc winning their respective competitions and not getting a chance with the big leagues.

The league has turned into a championship with quarter-finals and play-offs etc. What was ever wrong with straight forward divisions of 8 with 2 up and down?

The only embarrassing thing about hurling this year ,was that Kerry got shafted big time , they should have got promoted.

We're obviously being encouraged to stick with the football and forget about trying to win ANOTHER hurling All-Ireland! ;)
