Galway of course....Mayo v Galway is the big one in Connacht. Although I would admit the "edge" has been missing the past few years but I except that to change very soon as Galway get closer. Always night to beat the sheep steelers too. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11236 - 15/10/2014 21:48:55 1664165 Link 0 |
Mayo v Galway always the big one. Galway are more successful in football than in Hurling so why would anyone dismiss Galway as Mayos main rivals just because they play a bit of hurling. tirawleybaron (Mayo) - Posts: 1126 - 16/10/2014 09:40:16 1664176 Link 0 |
Could depend on what part of the County supporters or players are from I'd say. Rossies and Galway would both be big rivals to Mayo FoolsGold (Cavan) - Posts: 2763 - 16/10/2014 11:14:25 1664196 Link 0 |
Is Mayo Galway an intense rivalry though? It seems to me that most Galway people like to see Mayo do well and vice versa as long as it's not at their own expense. Being from Kerry (and nowhere near the border) I'd rather see the devil win than cork. Conor52 (Kerry) - Posts: 11 - 16/10/2014 11:19:54 1664197 Link 0 |
