I think they would have won with him.
His new quarterback style role that he has taken on under Fitzmaurice would have been a valuable asset against Donegal. He wouldnt have scored much, if anything, but against a team like Donegal, that doesnt mean you cant be effective.

Evolve or die. A lot is spoken about getting Gooch back. Tommy Walsh is also great asset, obviously. What I would be keen to do is hold onto Sheehan (a masterful deadball specialist) and O'Sullivan (a utility player with a nose for what's needed). Keeping hold of O'Mahoney at the back- and grooming a successor- is more important, I think. If that is done and Fitzmaurice maintains the sense of collective will within that group, they will take some stopping.

As someone who has many cousins in Roscommon and has had some great times up in that wonderful county I can honestly say you attitude towards Kerry is bizarre and doesn't reflect the great respect people I know up there have for kerry.
