Called Richie Hogan months ago cant find the topic now. Well deserved easily the most influential hurler in the country. Class act Brianmac78 (Dublin) - Posts: 1168 - 29/09/2014 13:20:34 1658065 Link 0 |

I think Richie Hogan without any contest. I cant help being biased here and saying I think Conor McDonald should be young hurler of the year. Pinkie (Wexford) - Posts: 4100 - 29/09/2014 14:00:43 1658084 Link 0 |
Richie Hogan is the obvious one and it'll be richly deserved imo. Richie Power is a decent shout too though as he performed excellently as well. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13724 - 29/09/2014 14:07:54 1658093 Link 0 |

Hogan will get it and maybe just about shaded Callinan. Both were great in League and Chsip. Would disagree with Cyril Farrell who said Reid was ahead of Callinan. Reid had 2/3 poorish games. tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 29/09/2014 17:42:34 1658243 Link 0 |

Cathal Barret for Young player of the year. cuederocket (Dublin) - Posts: 5084 - 29/09/2014 19:17:47 1658284 Link 0 |
Lads Dowling has already 3 good years behind at senior level and he is only a few months too old for under 21 next year. Has to have it - simple as Oldtourman (Limerick) - Posts: 4349 - 30/09/2014 11:10:41 1658453 Link 0 |
Shane Dowling averaged 12 points a game this year. Barrett was outstanding. Hard to call, but I'm going for Dowling just about. Hurling1Guru1 (Galway) - Posts: 244 - 30/09/2014 11:36:53 1658477 Link 0 |
Cathal Barrett for young hurler of the year. Conor McDonald is the player I would like to get it. Great in Senior & U.21 this year. WildPundit (Tipperary) - Posts: 1709 - 30/09/2014 12:21:41 1658522 Link 0 |
Lads re Young hurler of the year, it speaks volumes for the future of the game that we can mention a few lads, all worthy of winning it, and still have other gems like Tony Kelly nowhere in teh discussion. I think hurling is in its best ever spell andwith the potential to keep getting better Brianmac78 (Dublin) - Posts: 1168 - 30/09/2014 13:05:12 1658543 Link 0 |
No chance of Wexford getting hurler of the year this year or an all-star. Has been a while since we have had anything to crow about in relation to individual player, would love to see C McDonald get it. Will be up against it tough with the boys from Clare as they won the U21 in the end. Still you'd have to say he had a good presence when playing senior against some big strong senior players this year too and maybe that might sway it his way.
