For Donegal I'd go with Rambo, Brian Roper and Martin Shovlin.

Can't believe noone has mentioned Francie yet!

Has to be Ollie Murphy and Graham Geraghty.......remember Ollie roasting poor Peader Andrews in front of the Hill one year and Graham was a love/hate figure in Meath (and still is some might say) but was a serious threat on the football field. Tried to bite off more than he could chew when the Aussies visited for the Compromise Rules games and ended up taking a hiding from 3 Aussies. Only confirmed his cult status in Meath.

For me from Cork, in my younger days it was Colin Corkery, I used to be in awe of some of the points he would score and he looked like a fella who had never trained in his life!

Later years, probably Noel O'Leary! Not the most gifted of players but always gave 100%! Also any man that has laid a slap on Galvin and Geraghty will always be popular in my books!!!

I'd say for Roscommon someone like Harry Keegan, even though he was before my time, from more my era Pat Doorey.

From Laois, I'd have to say Hughie Emerson in football and Pat "Zoom" Critchley in hurling.

We like big mops of curly hair in Laois!

David Beggy & Kevin Foley for the end of the 91 saga, Brendan Reilly for the winner in 96 & Geraghty for Everything. his displays against Tyrone were always masterful. 1996 All Ireland Semi Final he was unplayable and that goal he scored in 07.

Always Admired Eamonn Heary from Dublin. Superb player and i don't think he got the credit he deserved.

Football wise, my old fellow clubman (although he's had a few) Greg Blayney, he could grapple a dead rabbit from a badger, never seen arms on a man like him.

Hurling wise, it would currently be Magic Johnston, would do outrageous things with a hurl and ball, not the greatest athlete in the world, but always attracts attention from the opposition hard men and still blunders on.

Back in the day when Down could hurl, it would be Danny the hog Hughes, could ate up the ground with his big stride and didn't sidestep anyone, just straight through them..

Surprised with so many Galway posters selecting Ja Fallon from the 98 team. He was a wonderful footballer but I'd have thought men like Tomas Mannion, Divilly and even O'Domhnaill would be more suited to this thread.

From my younger days nobody to beat Ollie 'Texas' Brady - could catch a ball in his own penalty area and solo the length of the field with lads hopping off him. Really lifted the crowd in Breffni.

Later it was Jim Reilly and then Larry Reilly (especially when skinning Francie Bellew).

If he could actually stay on the panel Seamus Quigley has potential to be a serious cult hero

tirawleybaron, good shout. Padden was a very gifted footballer. Probably doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Outside of my own county i think graham gerathy was a super player for meath and one of those opposing players you loved to hate ' but one for which you had grudging admiration and would have loved to have on your team! To sum it up he was a bit of a b@!!@# on the pitch but a great footballer at that!
