I am of the opinion that Ciaran Donoghue will tear the Mc Gees apart that is he gets s fair play from his marker and from the referee.

Whatever chance this new Kerry player Ciaran Donoghue has of getting fair play from the ref, his chances of getting fair play from either of the McGees is hovering somewhere close to zero. Proper order too.

While I have sympathy with you in relation to the dilemma that the Mc Gees will face and I hate to see any player or players completely exposed in an all Ireland which is our GAA show piece, I have to say that if the Referee gives out a few yellow cards early on and let Ciaran expose his talents Kerry will win

Tomsmith, this is hardly stop the front page stuff. Eddie kinsella is a top ref and will allow the game to flow. If he thinks a player deserves yellow then he will give one out.
Donegal are not in the business of tactical fouling to take men out of games. Fouls may happen sometimes that are impossible to avoid. What will b interesting will b how Kerry shape up to mchugh. If either player gets taken out of it then yes I would expect yellow or black. But I can't see it happening.

I presume tom is on about Donaghy? If so then Im not worried. The McGees will handle him ok. He is not the same player he was before and while he is still dangerous I think he is the type of player Donegal deal well with.

In terms of bookings if I was a Kerry supporter Id be more worried about your own. Against Mayo there was a lot of tactical fouling. I feel the ref we have for the final will have a better control over this.

I wouldn't like to mark either of the McGees but they rarely foul. Murphy probably gives away the most frees for us and that just a forwards tackle really.

Hi lads it's starting to feel a bit like people are trying to influence the refferee with the last few day, first you had brolly and mcstay on the Sunday game saying Kerry are masters at tactical fouling and gave no example of it then they said we (Kerry) don't need a free taker as Donegal never foul and now you have the Donegal posters jumping on that bandwagon , I mean if eddie kinsella was watching the Sunday game as I'm sure he was what way will he look at it? This has just gone from mission imposible to mission extremely imposible.

Ah now Tomáisín, The McGees go about their business very effectively without coming close to picking up yellow cards. The ref will be given no reason at all to go flashing yellow cards as neither team is so gauche or stupid to ship one without very good reason.

Not really. firstly, Eddie Kinsella is hardly trawling through this website or any other forums for that mater. I would say that you have a point about Brolly and Mcstay, but again, Kinsella is his own man, and he will ref fairly I have no doubt about this whatsoever. The bottom line is that if either donegal or kerry are secure in their own preparations, or system, or playing abilities, then it wont mater who says what about tactical fouling, it will all come out in the wash on the day of the final. personally I dont think that Donegal will bring out a cynical or physical side of kerry the way mayo did, it was a very unusually competitive game and you can understand how things can slip away from players a wee bit.

I also read before the dublin game how we were going to mix it up with the dubs, and get stuck in good and proper, which did not happen. I think that hot air on forums is not going to influence anything. These posts will not be read out in a dressing room before games.

I know what you mean, but it was fair bad form of brolly and mcstay to come out with that statement the week before a final, just to put the seed of doubt in the reffs head, I'd like to see the stats but I don't think we foul anymore or any less than any other team. And I also hope that it's a clean game and both teams just go and play football.

KingdomBoy1 the problem with any analysis is someone is losing out.
When can these things be said.

I like Kerry and was happy to see them beat Mayo but there was clear tactics involved. I mean everytime Aiden O Shea has the ball he was brought down.
I always feel that its impossible to say anything negative without it being perceived as mind games, sour grapes or sticking the boot in.

You mention stats and maybe I am biased but I think if you compare Kerry and Donagal in the 2 semi finals I would guess Donegal have about half the free count. Now its not really fair to judge games like that but it is a guideline

Congratulations as I have just awarded you the WOODEN SPOON for your posts. Was going to give it to Royaldunn but He mellowed a little after we beat the Dubs.
I know you are entitled to your opinion but you can't even get the Kerry players name right. But don't worry about the MC Gees or indeed the Donegal team in general. Well able to look after ourselves.

Did you not see for yourselves how discipline the Donegal defence was against Dublin, especially in the first half. How many scoring chances from frees did Dublin get in the first half.
I think you are another man who is underestimating Donegal and their QUALITY DEFENCE
Sundays game could hinge on a few things but for one ::: Donegal won't have to change the way they play , but I am almost certain Kerry will Will the be able to cope ???
